Biography
Dr. Ramin Sorkhi is a board certified General Surgeon Palomar Health Medical Group – Graybill. He has a a special focus on minimally invasive laparoscopic bariatric surgery. Dr. Sorkhi received his medical degree from the Medical School at Shiraz University of Medical Sciences in 1991, and also served his rotating internship at the University’s various sciences hospitals. He served his partial residency in General Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow; then completed his residency at the Bronx-Lebanon Medical Center; Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, where he was also a Chief Resident. In 2008 he completed an accredited fellowship in advanced Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgery at Northwest/Sinai Hospitals in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Sorkhi is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a Member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons, and a Member of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
