In 20 yrs I’ve been to many pain doctors. I visited Dr. Thacker because his office was close to my home. He is the gentlest and most knowledgeable pain doctor I have visited. Whatever it is he does have given me more pain relief than I have ever had and I am back to bicycle riding because of him and I haven’t exercised in years due to pain. I would now travel for miles to see him if I had to. I can’t recommend him highly enough.

I have had lower back pain for many years and have received pain shots from various doctors. My relief only lasted for a few months. I went to see Dr. Thakkar and he was able to give me a series of three shots which has helped the pain in the lower back, which also went down my leg. Since the doctor knew that I also have gaps between my vertebra, and that part was still painful, he suggested a different type of injection. After explaining this injection, he made sure that it was my choice whether to have this procedure or not. I appreciated his thorough explanation and ensuring the decision was mine. I have confidence in Dr. Thakkar's knowledge and procedures.

Dr. Thakkar has improved my husband's quality of life many times over, which means he has improved our family's quality of life. I haven't had to take hubby to the e.r. once since seeing Dr. T because he understands pain and how to treat it. If he thinks a certain treatment won't work, he won't do the treatment just for the money. He looks at the whole patient and gets to know you; this allows Dr. Thakkar to make the best decisions regarding hubby's care. We are so blessed to have found Dr. T.

Also, Dr. Thakkar really listens when we talk to him, and he takes down notes on our concerns. He wants that pain gone, and he will work hard for you. I call him the CAGE-MATCH DOCTOR because he stays within the guidelines for Best Practices and the laws related to Pain Management, but within that framework, he will fight like heck and go to the mat for you to help get rid of the pain. I have been going to Dr. Thakkar for over 2 years and drive the extra miles to see him in the Scottsdale office even when there are other providers closer. I appreciate discussing options in care and treatment, and not just medicating symptoms. The staff is pleasant, knowledgeable and very helpful when dealing with issues (such as insurance and appointment juggling). I would recommend Dr. Thakkar and the Scottsdale office team to those dealing with pain.

I have been suffering with Osteoarthritis for over 10 years. Previous attempts by a host of doctors has been largely ineffective. Dr. Thakkar has been able to help me where the other doctors I visited in the past were unable to. He listened attentively as I described my symptoms and worked out a program which has provided relief to both of my knees. I got the feeling that he genuinely cares about my well being and will be there for me wholeheartedly in the future. His nurse is also very helpful, cheerful and always accommodating. I have been going to Dr Thakkar for over a year now. I received injections into my lower back & it works great to eliminate the pain. I had great results for almost 1 year and just went back last week for 1 more shot and now my pain is gone again. I was very impressed with Dr Thakkar and the North Scottsdale staff. Jim F.

This guy is beyond arrogant and unbelievably rude he was very disrespectful. I feel bad for the staff that has to work with him.

I believe he is a competent doctor but his arrogance and rudeness turned me off. If you aren't a yes man, he isn't the one to see - it is his way or nothing. I felt he thought I was lying. His tone is one of disrespect unless you bow at his brilliance.
