I've seen Dr. Oikawa on and off for 10 years. I like that he shows me exercises that will help correct any issues so that I do not need to keep coming back to see him. I'm a runner and have seen him for sports injuries. I also sit at a desk most days and have seen him to correct problems associated with sitting for long periods. He is nice and interesting. I enjoy talking to him about exercise and nutrition.

I too was treated by this chiropractor and he definitely had created a new injury to me which wasn't there when I started to see him. He seems to be more interested in selling some exercise balls, exercise bends and fish oil to me than treating my problem. I think he is a DC, but according to my insurance EOB, he is a MD ??!! Not only I am not sure about his ability to treat, I am more confused about his qualification.

A phenomenal resource for back pain, but also health in general. Keeps up on latest research and techniques. Personalized. I highly recommend him!

Dr. oikawa is a jerk he has been treating a friend of mine who wont speak up so i'm doing it for them. if your a workers comp case his only interest is to protect the employer and not treat the patient, he will try to talk you into closing your case and blame your condition on some other health issue you may have like high blood pressure for example. he told my friend to their face to close the case to save the employer money and that it would help the economy, i suggested that oikawa should do his work for free if he's so concerned about the economy. after his adjustments my friend complained to him about new pain that they have never had before and he told them it was all in their mind and that they were probably making it up. not sure how he treats patients who pay cash or use personal insurance but this is what he did to my friend. the office staff is friendly, Dr. Baar has treated friends of mine and they've never had a negative visit. be careful if you deal with dr. oikawa
