the worst "doctor" in my life. I went to other clinic, and was diagnosed with what dr Catenacci didn't even care. Also, did useless expensive tests. Please find someone who will treat you as a patient not a bank account.

We recently relocated to Chicago from California, and we were on a mission to find a new fertility clinic. We had only been through an IUI cycle (many with one successful) in CA, but after several tries to have another after our son we decided to try IVF. We chose Advanced Fertility because of it's success rates and Dr. Catenacci was the first available so we made an appt. for a consultation. We had very high expectations due to the fact that our fertility clinic in CA was amazing, and Dr. Catenacci did not disappoint. She was thorough in her questions when we first met, and made us feel as comfortable as one could be embarking on the journey of IVF. We started our cycle in August and Ashley (nurse in Crystal Lake office) and Dr. Catenacci deserve some sort of medal for their patience and ability to sooth even the most worrisome people (me) . We were new to this, and when I gave myself an overdose of the low-dose HCG and almost had a nervous breakdown they were very sweet and supportive, and assured me over and over again it would be OK (which it was). Then I ran out of the medication that prevents you from ovulating and Ashley drove to the clinic at 9:30 in the evening to make sure I had what I needed to prevent me from ruining the cycle. After all that, and my many questions and concerns we are pregnant! We have had a few bumps in the road since finding out last month, and I can't thank both Ashley and Dr. Catenacci enough for their continued support and amazing patience with us. Dr. Catenacci is a great Dr. and our family was lucky to have found her!!!

I am truly appalled by our experience with Dr. Catenacci. After waiting a month for our consultation (where we thought we were seeing Dr. Sherbahn), it became apparent several times during the appointment that she hadn’t reviewed my chart and wasn’t prepared. This was after making us wait considerably. After what seemed like extreme recommendations, she vowed to get a copy of my blood work from my Ob/Gyn and then follow up the next week. I had to phone her office twice and it was almost weeks after our initial appointment that I heard back from them.

I was only contacted by a nurse, who put me on hold to get answers to my very valid questions. It was clear she was talking to the doctor while I was on hold and I hung up basically vowing to get a second opinion. I then received an email about 20 minutes later from Dr. Catenacci. Clearly she couldn’t be bothered to A) prepare adequately for my appointment, B) follow up when she said she would, C) contact me by phone, as a new patient, to discuss next steps, concerns, etc.

If you want a physician who seems to not care about your situation, won’t manage your expectations, and prefers to communicate with you about your health via email, then I’m sure she’d be a great fit. But I couldn’t be more displeased with how much of our time she wasted.

had ivf with doctor catenacci. most regreting time of my life. truly believe that i chose the wrong doctor. she doesnt care about patients. very disappointed! we payed her 25000$ with no result.
