I was referred to Dr. Engineer by my current orthopedic physician. Dr. Engineer and his staff were extremely nice and treated me with great concern and care. The Dr. seemed to be very knowledgeable of what my problem was and he laid out my options in detail and what I would possibly end up with regarding surgery but at a much later date. He suggested trying a steroid injection first and that perhaps I could have that done more than once before having to decide on surgery although he did explain to me and outline in detail what he would have to do should I request and/or require surgery. Well, last month I had my first injection and I have received very favorable results from that injection. I will definitely recommend Dr. Engineer to anyone with any hand problems. I am thankful to my orthopedic dr. for recommending Dr. Engineer and I sincerely appreciate all that he and his staff did to relieve me of the pain and discomfort I had been experiencing for such a long time.

I saw Dr. Engineer for a second opinion after reading his reviews. First, of all he came off as very arrogant and when I asked a question he just kept telling me what he wanted to tell me. I had already been to another doctor so I kinda knew what was going on. I really wanted to know what I could do to avoid surgery if possible, but he kept telling me that I needed this special surgery. Come to find out he used to work for the Brown hand center. Well, they are no longer in business because of unethical practices and that Dr. Brown ( who is now dead ) was a real piece of work. I also found out that he is not an orthopedic trained surgeon but a general surgeon with a hand specialty. This is a pretty big deal from what my friend told me. Anyway, if you want a second opinion choose a board certified orthopedic surgeon. This guy was way too full of himself and condescending. His staff was pretty nice though I have to say if being fair but they are not the doctor. Maybe take a lesson from them Dr. Engineer.

Biography

Dr. Nitin J. Engineer is an accredited, fellowship-trained Plastic Surgeon specializing in Aesthetic, Reconstructive, Hand, and Microvascular Surgery. He is the founder, CEO, and principal surgeon at Engineered Aesthetics Plastic Surgery Institute, which is dedicated to serving the greater Las Vegas metropolitan area. Dr. Engineer developed a very early interest in the surgical specialties when he secured one of only two positions as a high-school student to work as an Anesthesia Technician in the operating room in his hometown of Macon, Georgia. He held this position for three consecutive years, and this rare opportunity would be the foundation of his deeply rooted passion for plastic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Engineer’s earliest experiences in the operating room exposed and allowed him to observe complex reconstructive operations involving the entire human body. His greatest admiration for plastic and reconstructive surgery is the emphasis on not only reconstruction of form but also restoration of function for patients. Furthermore, Dr. Engineer’s extensive experience in Reconstructive Plastic Surgery has prepared him for his successful career in the field of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, which he considers to be the perfect union of art and science. In 1992, Dr. Engineer began his undergraduate education at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, a city that he holds near and dear to his heart. In order to diversify his background, he elected to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in French, as well as enroll in a rigorous premedical curriculum. Dr. Engineer excelled academically at this prestigious institution and was one of ten individuals to receive early acceptance during his sophomore year into the equally prestigious Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. He graduated Cum Laude from Vanderbilt University in 1996 and completed his Doctorate of Medicine at Vanderbilt University in 2000. Dr. Engineer’s postgraduate education is extensive and initially included completion of a General Surgery internship at the University of Washington in Seattle followed by a General Surgery residency at Southern Illinois University in Springfield, Illinois. In 2007, he completed a fellowship in Hand and Microvascular Surgery with the Division of Plastic Surgery at Southern Illinois University. Immediately following his Hand and Microvascular Surgery fellowship training, Dr. Engineer joined the faculty at the University of Louisville School of Medicine and served as Clinical Instructor with the Department of Surgery, where he taught and directed medical students, residents, and fellows in the field of Hand and Microvascular Surgery. In 2009, Dr. Engineer subsequently moved his practice to Las Vegas and ultimately built EXTREMICURE® Hand Center, where he had been dedicated to treating patients with any ailment or injury involving the upper extremity. In 2016, Dr. Engineer would experience another fortuitous and rare second chance to return to the University of Louisville and study Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery with his greatest mentor, Dr. Bradon J. Wilhelmi, who had previously trained him to become a Hand and Microvascular Surgeon. Although Dr. Engineer had developed a successful and busy hand surgery practice in Henderson, Nevada, he always regretted not capitalizing on an earlier opportunity to become a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon. Having a profound belief in destiny and one’s calling, Dr. Engineer closed his practice and returned to Louisville, Kentucky to continue his educational journey to the surprise of many. He completed his training in October 2019, where he also received the Clinical Excellence Award in 2019 and graduated with the highest number of cases performed in the history of the program. Following graduation, Dr. Engineer immediately returned to Las Vegas, Nevada, the community that he adores and calls home without any intention of ever leaving again. Dr. Engineer has completed a total of 10 years of postgraduate training in plastic surgery, hand surgery, and general surgery in an effort to refine his surgical skills and provide the most comprehensive and compassionate care to all of his patients. In addition, he has extensive experience as a practicing surgeon, having developed a successful private practice for 10 years. As a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), Dr. Engineer has achieved board certification in General Surgery and Hand and Microvascular Surgery and is board-eligible in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Upon his return to the Las Vegas Valley, Dr. Engineer founded Engineered AestheticsTM Plastic Surgery Institute in January 2020. The goal of his new practice is to provide a unique and individual experience to each patient in a boutique environment, which allows one to achieve their ultimate plastic surgical goals. Dr. Engineer is known for his kind demeanor and dedication to spending a great amount of time educating his patients, answering all questions regarding their plastic surgical concerns, and setting realistic expectations. In light of his comprehensive training in aesthetic surgery, Dr. Engineer has developed a passion and surgical expertise in cosmetic procedures of the face, breast, and body. His particular interests include rhinoplasty, facelift, breast augmentation, breast lift, breast reduction, and breast revision surgery. He also specializes in body contouring with liposuction, abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), mommy makeover procedures, and cosmetic surgery for men, including hair transplantation. Finally, Dr. Engineer also offers an array of nonsurgical aesthetic treatment options including injections with neuromodulators (eg. Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau) and hyaluronic acid fillers (eg. Juvederm and Restylane), Sculptra, chemical peels, laser therapy, and numerous other skin rejuvenation products. Dr. Engineer looks forward to meeting you in consultation to discuss and offer the best treatment options to address your aesthetic goals and achieve the beauty you see in yourself.
