Dr. Yang is the type of physician difficult to find in medicine today: Truly compassionate, empathic, and effective. He is highly knowledgeable in Eastern and Western medicine perspectives and utilizes his skill to provide excellent quality of care to his patients. Dr. Yang provides excellent primary treatment as well as adjunct to current Western treatment.
I first met Dr.Yang in October 2011 at the recommendation of my neurologist. After years, western medicine was unable to provide response regarding debilitating severe neck and arm pain, spasm, numbness, tinging and limited ROM. At the end of my first visit with Dr. Yang, when my boyfriend came into the room I was able to open my hand and lift both my arms to hug him as well as turn my neck far enough to see him sitting next to me when I got in the car. This was a moment of happy tears thanks to Dr.Yang's treatment and is only one example of the results his care has brought me. He has changed and provided new hope for my life through his advanced acupuncture and herbal treatment. In addition, Dr. Yang continues to provide me with effective treatment for anxiety, depression, sleep quality, headaches, migraines, muscle tone, heart/chest pain, Low thyroid levels, allergies and medication side effects such as decreased libido and dry mouth.

Endometriosis caused progressively worse suffering for me over the years such that Dilaudid, comparable in strength to Morphine, was needed to alleviate my pain. I knew that Chinese Medicine could more safely help with this than hormones and surgery that I also knew would create unacceptable side effects in my case. Even though endometriosis is very challenging to treat using Chinese Medicine, and I'd already been to at least six Chinese Medical practitioners for this, Dr. Yang was able to improve my situation in only three months such that I usually did not need any pain medication. I had only one relapse eight months later; never any pain after that beyond a Level 2 on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the worst like childbirth and torture.
It felt so good to feel normal during these times: no pain, no bloating, no decreased energy, no exceptionally pale face, no fogginess--I hadn't felt like that in 30 years!! Dr. Yang said he wished I'd found him 25 years ago (this was before I'd realized it had been 30 years). I hope if you suffer from endometriosis that you find this write-up and try him for your optimal health. His treatment is holistic as Chinese Medicine always is, so you'd probably find that other symptoms you thought nothing of also improve.
I find it irresistible to note this in case someone with this challenge can't see Dr. Yang. He mentioned that endometriosis is usually from Spleen and Kidney Yang Deficiency with blood stasis and that it's very important to move the Qi (energy). In my case it was very important to give very warming herbs as is usually the case with Spleen and Kidney Yang Deficiency. I've heard him talk to another practitioner on the phone to advise him about treating people.
Dr. Yang palpates like the old-fashioned real healers did to find out everything that needs addressed. This makes a huge difference! He taught another OMD to always check a person’s extremities for warmth after questioning him/her about it because often people will say that their hands and feet are not cold when indeed they are cold! This is because some of us live with this for so many years that we are not aware of how cold we are. His training was in China which has much higher teaching standards in Chinese Medicine than here, and he worked in the Heart Unit in China for fourteen years. His boss always gave him the toughest cases because Dr. Yang had different ideas. He works with all of Chinese Medicine: acupuncture, herbs, cupping, moxa, tuina, draining, you name it. He's a real healer.
Something I did not notice on his website is he mentioned that he's had great success helping heart patients with edema and helping people with bipolar disorder. Rest assured that Dr. Yang is very exceptional with his work!!
One other thing: Dr. Yang mentioned that if someone in Chinese Medicine knows how to help you, then you should see improvement within about three months. This is so you hopefully won't waste a lot of time with someone who doesn't know how to help.

Dr Yang fixed this lady's frozen shoulder right in front of me. She had trouble putting on clothes, sleeping, anything that involved raising her right arm. Her arm had been like that for 6 years and was getting worse. On vacation, she visited a friend who brought to Dr Yang's office. 20 minutes later, she was raising her arm and waving it back and forth over her head. Wow! How does he do that? Even if you have tried everything, ESPECIALLY if you have tried everything, you gotta go see him. He is amazing. Thank you, Dr. Yang
