Not a kind doctor. Also, not knowledgeable on the dialysis machine or procedures used in the hospital he works at. Needs more training with the TABLO machines. Needs patient sensitivity training. Was rude and argumentative for no reason.

My dad was being consulted by Dr. Park during his stay. I attempted to reach out to Dr. Park to get further information about my father's treatment as I am my father's medical decision maker and DPOA. I spoke to the hospitalist who told me that he would reach out to Dr. Park to call me because I had questions for him regarding my father's care and Dr. Park told the hospitalist that he was not going to call me nor was he going to answer my questions. As a medical provider, it is your duty to provide informed care to all parties involved - this includes medical decision makers. Thankfully, the hospitalist I spoke with was kind enough to call me back to give me feedback from the doctor's response and answer my questions to the best of his ability. I know that people are busy and if that were the case, I might have a different viewpoint on the doctors response; however, he just didn't want to call me to answer my questions regarding my fathers care and treatment. Very unprofessional. It seemed as though he didn't want to answer my questions because I questioned his medical decision making regarding my fathers care. I was in contact with the nurse trying to reach anyone today to get understanding of this doctors rationale for not providing dialysis to my father who is dialysis dependent (who did not have dialysis in a week due to him fainting just prior to receiving dialysis) and I was informed by the hospitalist that Dr. Park just said that he was not going to call me to answer my questions despite me being my fathers DPOA and not having any contact with this doctor since he was admitted. Some people get their medical degree and come off as though they are infallible. I would have been fine with his decision if he would have taken the time to explain his rationale because that was all I wanted, to understand. My father has memory issues and I feel as though Dr. Park did not do what he needed to in order to provide informed medical care.
