I have been seeing Dr. Aqeel for over 20 years. He has always taken the time to ensure that I understand my diagnosis and treatment, including answering any questions.

He is the worst Dr. we ever had any communication with. He is like a zombie and has no personal appeal. He acts like he hates what he's doing and doesn't like talking with family. I got the feeling he hates everyone and is a depressive. He has zero bedside manner and any decisions he makes, has no sense of responsibility for his poor medical opinion. If I were brave enough and not in shock after my father suffered from his recommendation and after my father's death, I would have sued him for malpractice. I wish the Kalamazoo Nephrology Center as well as any hospital he's affiliated with would fire him; and I am not alone, since I spoke with many other family members who had their loved ones on dialysis and thought he was an SOB.

He can be helpful, but you have to spell things out for him often and you have to check back with his office to be sure they've done what you've asked.

Dr. Aqeel is one of the best doctors I have ever had. His best feature is that he jumps on a problem right away, and quickly acts to make you feel better.
