I have been a patient of Dr Kirsh for nearly two years. This is a letter that I recently wrote to her. I believe that it sums up my experience quite nicely.

I am horrible with feelings, especially expressing them. I am so very sorry for your loss.
You talk about modeling a lot. That is what you are for me. That is why I come back every week. You are a guidance counselor when I need it. You are
a positive role model of a healthy human being who contributes to this world in a positive way. You make me think about my life in a way that helps me
make the best decisions I can make for myself as well as my family. And when I don't make the best decisions I don't feel as if you judge me. I know that
you are there when I need you, in fact you have always made time for me,even on short notice.
I have not had anybody in my life that modeled consistency , and care, and empathy and if I could choose a role model it would be you. I am very
grateful to know you.

Dr. Kirsh did an outstanding job on our case. What started out as difficult and complicated, grew even more difficult and complicated due to our situation, no fault of hers. Dr. Kirsh dug deep and was honest and very thorough every step of the way. At the end, she was able to analyze the situation and correctly point out the problems. During the process, she asked lots of questions, asked for clarification that what she was documenting was what I was saying correctly. I know that she did everything in her power to be thorough and impartial. She was professional and to the point. I would highly recommend her. She takes her work seriously and does a great job. She cares very much about helping people and works extra hard. I saw that with my own eyes. She is not lazy or unconcerned. She is very concerned about getting as much information to correctly and completely understand the situation as much as possible, so that she can help as much as possible. Again, I highly recommend her.

Dr. Kirsh's empathy, therapeutic skills, kindness and care saved my marriage and helped my son. In only few sessions she was able to help us all heal. My exwife and I started seeing Dr Tsila after I caught my ex-wife cheating. I wanted to save my marriage. I thought she wanted to. We spent ~2years seeing Tsila. I always mentioned Tsila that something was off with my wife: always lying, lack of feelings, apathy, etc. However, Tsila quickly dismissed them. Instead I was pointed as the person with the problem. Shortly after I caught my wife cheating again. I know that at this point I should’ve left her, but she said that the cheating had been emotional & that she had a weak moment. We resumed the effort to save the relationship with Tsila. I continued mentioning to Tsila my concerns. Every time I was the one to blame. Soon the 3rd cheating came. Decided to drop Dr Tsila. After 5 weeks with a counselor that actually listened, I discovered the truth: My ex had an affair for 2 years, even while pregnant, had online affairs, multiple email accounts with fake identities, and more. How could I recommend a counselor that does not listen?
