Dr. Harry Engel is an Excellent caring personable retina specialist. He calls back promptly, immediately schedules emergencies is talented thorough and also takes insurance. I highly recommend using him for any eye concerns .

In reading the other review, I must agree that Dr. Engel really is very good, knowledgeable, cares, and goes out of his way to make himself available. I do not agree that his manner is cold- he is just more reserved than a very outgoing personality and uses his words carefully.

Dr. Engle has one complaint from me and many praises. While his manner can be cold at times, he absolutely does care about his patients, and he's extremely knowledgeable and good at what he does. He'll take care of you, but he might not be so comforting while he does it. I'd also like to say that he's a very honest doctor, as there were times that I went to pay him a copay and he refused to take the money because it was a follow up, and apparently he doesn't charge for those. I appreciated that very much. He's a good man and an excellent doctor and if you can deal with his thick skin, you'll be in good hands.
