Dr. Hutchins is an extremely competent doctor who is very well informed on the latest treatment studies. Combined with his excellent bedside manner, I do not believe we could have found a better doctor in Lincoln.

I have late stage melanoma. I got very poor care from the first oncologist I tried. After many missteps in my treatment, I changed to Dr. Hutchins. He was immediately knowledgeable about ipilumumab (Yervoy) which the FDA was just giving expedited approval for compassionate use. He had his whole clinic staff trained by Bristol-Meyers, which had not yet begun to release Yervoy to clinics. As a result of this diligence, I received some of the first non-study shipment in mid-2010. The treatment was effective beyond all expectations and I am in full remission from metastases to my brain, lung, bone and liver, any one of which has (had?) the worst prognosis of any melanoma metastases - 50% survival at 18 months and 3% at 5 years. My first diagnosis was 30 months ago, and I seem to have every reason to believe I may be fully cured - my scans since treatment show ongoing shrinkage, and the remaining spots are thought to be calcifications, dead cells or scar tissue.
