I've been seeing Dr. Kim for over 10 years. I initially went to him because I returned to the US after being abroad for a year. I found myself feeling anxious and depressed and decided to see a therapist. In that time, as we worked on my issues, I was able to find my birth family and build a relationship with them that I am comfortable with. After getting married, struggling to get pregnant, and then finally having a challenging child, Dr. Kim has stood by me with wisdom and understanding. He recognized the issues of my childhood and understood how they may affect my relationship with my husband and child. He has patiently coached me with practical steps but more importantly he has helped me heal and grieve my past so that it doesn't affect my future. These are the tangible outcomes of the work that Dr. Kim was able to facilitate in my life. He has been a stable, professional, kind, and intelligent therapist that knows how to listen but also press when needed.

It's all a scam.
The most unprofessional therapist I've come across who is allegedly in violation of multiple laws. He was not compliant with the laws related to patient rights, used a consumer contract that hinders my freedom of speech, and failed to perform the administrative duties required of a licensed psychologist. What's more, I learned that he had previously even been sued for medical malpractice.
In terms of therapy with him, this therapist was judgmental and critical of my problem-solving actions and tried to give me unsolicited advice.

Roland isn’t just your psychologist who listens to your problems and concerns. He’s a person who wants to form a bond with you that goes far beyond regular friendships. If it weren’t for Roland’s experience and insight, I would still be struggling through life. My experience with him has been wonderful. He has helped me to grow and become a better version of myself. Through him, I learned how to forgive myself even when I was against myself. He helped me see the world and life from a different perspective and it completely changed my life. He has been my best advocate. I look forward to continuing to work with Dr. Kim.

In that time, we have worked on my issues and in doing so I was able to find my birth family and build a relationship with them that I am comfortable with. I also met the man who is now my husband and have relocated to be with him. These are the tangible outcomes of the work that Dr. Kim was able to facilitate in my life. He has been a stable, professional, kind, and intelligent therapist that knows how to listen but also press when necessary.

I've been attending Dr. Kim's therapy for the last 8 or so months. Not only have I released a tremendous amount of negative emotions I had been suppressing for many, many years, I've managed to learn why this happened to me, what I can do about it, and have seen for the first time in a long time an actual guide that is pulling me out of my chronic depression. He is not only a receiver of all your pains and worries; he is a teacher and a compiler. Though I am his patent, I also feel I am his student as well as his friend. Best of luck to all who seek to pull themselves out of their deafening darkness.
