Dr. Carlos A. Bagley performed surgery on my husband's back in 2008. We are very pleased with the results years later. Whenever our friends or anyone we know needs back surgery we recommend Dr. Bagley!

I am very pleased with the result of Microdiscectomy performed by Dr. Bagley. I had a large L4-L5 herniated disc. was in a extreme pain. The surgery basically gives my life back. I am also impressed with Dr. Bagley's team. They are excellent in communication with the patient and insurance company. Whenever I ask them to send information to my disability protection company they always do it in a timely manner.

Dr. Bagley impresses me as being an excellent surgical technician. He has deep knowledge in his subject area and is adept at explaining complex issues. Sadly, I come away from my experience with him sensing that he has allowed himself to be unduly influenced by the Duke Private Diagnostic Clinic financial incentive system. Upon reviewing my MRI he concluded that I should proceed with a double L3-L4/L4-L5 spinal fusion and lumbar decompression. In fact he spent a little extra time trying to convince me that the second fusion was necessary. I was surprised by the need for the fusions, and told Dr. Bagley that I planned to get a second opinion from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota. The surgeons at Mayo, and there were two a neurosurgeon and an orthopedic surgeon, told me that it was not clear that a fusion would be necessary. They wanted to assess the stability of my spine after the decompression and decide then. I had the clinic do the surgery. They did a single fusion.

Best hospital experience I have ever had. Dr. Bagley gave me his card and email address and encouraged me to email him with questions and he would get back to me asap. Microdiscectomy surgery was very successful and I was walking the same day and went home the same evening as surgery. Awesome.

Dr. Bagley is a gifted surgeon, with a smoothly operating staff. He truly cares about his patients. The wait time in his office is because he is SO good and has a heavy patient load, and performs surgery 4 days out of five. He's worth the wait. I had heard nightmare stories about lumbar surgery, but my TLIF was a positive life changing experience. This guy is good...and he's a very nice man, too. In addition, his office staff is very responsive and knowledgeable. I have recommended him to several friends.

After having been in and around the medical field for more than half my life I feel that I am qualified and substantiated in the statements for which I make here.Dr Bagley was able to take care of a life-long problem to the best of his ability when all I did was come to him for his help and he gave me more than that and now this is the way I can give back by assessing him and his work.He truly LOVES what he does and it is like he is GIFTED.He cares abt all his patients and I have spoken to several of them and all felt just like I do.You can ask for a finer dr as he talks to you for as long as needed & explains to you on your level>It just doesn't get any better than him in the dr field. I would definitely recommend him to my family or friends and as a matter of fact have done just that. And as for his staff they seem to be handpicked.Everyone in his office is super and each and every one seem to known exactly what they are supposed to be doing and then do it.Thank You Dr Bagley

Dr. Bagley may be knowledgable in his field. His communication skills ar e horrible and he does nothing to arrange a proactivr post operativd pain management program. He is rude obnoxious. I would not let him operate on s pet earthworm. One of the most arrogant Drs I have ever met.Fifteen thumbs down for Bagley

Dr. Bagley is a terrific, highly skilled surgeon. He always gives me plenty of time, and is very personable and patient in explaining procedures and issues in whatever detail I might need. He has completely fixed a very dangerous situation with my neck and spine and I am eternally grateful. Unlike many surgeons, he continues to see me as needed even though my surgery was quite a while ago. I cannot say enough good things and highly recommend him.
