Went from out of state to see him. Could not have been nicer and staff was incredible! Use to waiting forever in doctor office, not this one. Everything was setup and scheduled. My daughter seemed to be his only patient when we were in the room with him. He took the time to go over everything and checked on her when she was getting an injection. I can not think of a single bad thing to say or anything I would change with the visit. I don't know when the last time I have ever been able to say that about any place! Thank you to NP Beth for being so kind when my daughter was so scared of the injection.

Began having hip pain in September 2017. My ortho doctor referred me to Dr Byrd in February of 2018. From the very first visit in May 2018 until my final in July 2019 my husband and I can only praise Dr Byrd for his knowledge, the compassion, and treatment that he has given me during my year long journey. He performed arthroscopic surgery on my hip in November 2018. I’m pain free and back to performing my job(I’m a physical therapist) and my workouts with no problems or pain. Can’t thank him enough for all he had done not just the surgery but the time he took on every visit to explain and suggest what needed to be done. He also has a wonderful office staff the provided much assistance to us(special thanks to Ashley C. and Kay). Without your help Dr Byrd I wouldn’t be where I am today. Thanks so much and God bless!

Dr Byrd is a well respected hip doctor for Major League Baseball players along with all of the major sports. He is incredibly knowledgeable, humble, and transparent and open with his patients. Ashley Campbell who heads up his PT is also world class and I can see why these two are paired together. Amazing

I read Dr. Byrd's ratings and went in with a somewhat negative opinion from the get go. That was wrong of me.
He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him.
He allowed me and my husband time to ask questions and then answered them as fully as possible. I am actually overjoyed that I saw him before diving into an already scheduled surgery with another doctor that wasn't really sure that arthroscopic surgery would help. The first doctor said "We may just clean it up a little and then plan for hip replacement in the near future."
Dr. Byrd saved me a tremendous amount of pain, time and money. He told me arthroscopic would most likely NOT improve my condition and recovery time for replacement is light years ahead of arthroscopy. I know this wasn't helping Dr. Byrd by telling me this because he doesn't even perform replacements. He is only arthroscopy.
During everything, Dr. Byrd never said a bad word toward my other doctor. In fact, he said he knew him and held him in high regard.
In the end, if you can see Dr. Byrd for a second opinion, I would highly recommend it. It can't hurt any more than your hip already does. He won't waste your time.

I went to Dr. Byrd for a second opinion when another surgeon wanted to operate. Dr Byrd said it wasn't necessary. He was right, the hip pain healed with time. The best doctor around.

Dr.Byrd is hands down one of the best hip surgeons around. I wish there were more doctors like Dr.Byrd. Dr.Byrd has had a postive impact on me and many others. Dr.Byrd is the man and could do hip surgery blindfolded. He knows the g whiz hip stuff. He is really good, has a great reputation, and deep achievements. As far as the staff, they are  very generous, professional, and beautiful. Physical therapists at nashville sport med is highly knowledgeable in therapy.
