Was told by my insurance company that dr. refused payment of 369 (avrg ER physician cost), leaving me to pay 587. The bill is now in collections and I refuse to pay it. The average ER physician gets 369$ pp, but Dr.Zamara whom I saw for 30 seconds apparently thinks he is worth a lot more. The hospital bill which included drugs, fees, a series of tests was about 1K. I had to pay the hospital $218 (which is okay) and then I got this bill in the mail for 30Sec of 'his services' for 587. I learned my lesson and got a dr. so I can get an appt right away. I wasn't urgent although the urgent care center turned me away and said I had to go to a hospital - waited 4 hrs for a room at bay health in dover. And 45mins to see dr. He was Pleasant enough dr but that is highway robbery.
