I had to see Dr. Garrison because my doctor and P.A. were booked that day. She was not only grossly unprofessional by reprimanding her staff during my appointment in my exam room while I was on the table, regarding their treatment plan which was to refer me (correctly) to the appropriate specialists for symptoms that had been diagnosed as autoimmune disorders, physical therapy, etc., she lost her temper at her assistant because she said the chart wasn't updated properly and blamed the P.A. And demanded it be fixed immediately by that P.A. right at that moment.

She sent the assistant off to find her and then was angry when she hadn't done my vitals, etc. This Dr. was rattled, distracted, emotional and taking out whatever on me and her assistant. It was hurtful, more stressful and embarrassing and confusing. I became so much more upset and uncomfortable.

I was already in tears as I had just returned from a month long ordeal from my mom passing away suddenly in another state, and I had to wait for her cremation then drive our family dog and her ashes across country and had only been back a few days before this appointment to discuss getting help with depression, stress and anxiety temporarily until I could get in with my counselor.

Dr. Garrison, not knowing my chart, having my chart in front of her, knowing me, judged me on being inconsolable and crying, and when I was explaining reasons for my grief and being so upset, she actually said, "Your family probably doesn't want you at your mom's service because like this you come off as drunk!" "Ugh" she turned to the assistant again and said "I think a brain MRI is a really good idea. Yeah." And stormed out of the exam room. I never heard a word again from her again. The assistant and I looked at each other and I said "oh my God?" The assistant said, "I'm so sorry. Sorry for your loss. I hope things get better. " I didn't even know if I was done, supposed to leave? The assistant said yes, the place would call to schedule the MRI and so I left in shock.

There are more derogatory things regarding my disability she said such as, "You're on disability?!! What about your social life?!" This is an unprofessional, judgmental, doctor with a bad temper and no regard for my boundaries as a patient or a person with disabilities. She especially has difficulty dealing with someone with deep depression, crying and anxiety, and seems to have little to no tolerance or empathy for these issues.

She throws her own staff under the bus in front of patients even when they have set a patient on the correct course of care and have provided alternative community resources and/or referrals to help the patient further. She was blessed to have amazing doctors and P.A.'s that are genuine, kind and extremely knowledgeable on her staff to make her practice work. I'm not sure who is still at Ranch View. Regardless, this is the only doctor I am commenting on here.

This was the ONLY doctor at this practice that has ever treated me poorly or been unprofessional and made light of my disabilities and never apologized or even followed up. At least she talked about me so poorly in front of my face. I hope this does at least make people stop and consider what this physician must say as you're walking out the door.

I want to make it clear I respect my former doctors and PAs at the practice, I respected and appreciated them so much, and they shouldn't be judged on this dr who took over the practice and I had one or two sporadic fill-in appointments with...

I should also make it clear that maybe this wasn't long after she took over this practice and possibly she was disorganized in approximately spring 2014. It took me this long to feel comfortable to speak up to others.

I hope potential patients, especially suffering from depression and anxiety, will ask the right questions before scheduling with this doctor.

After reading other comments, I'm seeing the same things over and over. This doctor SEEMS nice at first, but test her patience for even one moment (shed a tear, ask a question or worse: question what she says, ) and watch her whole demeanor change towards you and your appointment is over. Good luck to you.

After months of seeing a specialist and getting nowhere, I went to see Dr. Garrison at the recommendation of a friend. She listened very carefully to all of my comments and failed strategies with the other doctor and then pursued tests until she identified the problem. She then called my specialist doctor and had to convince him that a different (and correct diagnosis) was warranted. It's amazing how much better I feel after the correct treatment was started. I owe her a great debt of thanks for helping restore my health.

I tried to speak with Dr. Harrison about being depressed in menopause. I honestly think she thought I was over playing this. I needed help and she told me to do yoga. Yoga is great...but I needed more guidance. I felt like she dismissed me as an older woman with no clue. I also had some familial cholesterol issues and she put me in some kind of fiber that I took diligently. When it didn't change my numbers, she actually asked me if I was taking the fiber, inferring that I was not being digent. At that point I found a new doctor.

Dr Garrison is kind, compassionate and thorough. She spent ample amount of time with me discussing my concerns and and even had me get extra tests done to diagnose issues that my previous doctor missed. She even called me personally when I had more questions than her assistant could answer. I even asked her questions about some of the comments I saw on this site when I had my visit with her. She has not dismissed her Medicare patients, just doesn't take any new ones. And yes there was a bit of a staff turnover when she took over in December 2011 but most employees have been there for a couple of years, which would have been before she took over. I appreciated her candidness and honesty to these negative questions.

I never saw the doctor always the nurse practioner or someone else, but my complaint is that I got up coded for a simple procedure to laser surgery which was false. Insurance would not pay so I had to. I tried to correct/negotiate, but they would not. Lost my business.
