I would like to start off by thanking Dr. Cannazzarro for all his help and guidance on numerous occasions. He went over and above to help many of our situations by being available, offering advice, and helping with future planning.
I highly recommend Dr. C for any and all situations. He is extremely knowledgeable, caring, and sympathetic. Dr. C and the staff at Lansing Psychological Associates are true professionals.
Again, thank you Dr. C and staff for all your hard work and professionalism.

I would highly recommend this physician to anyone who is truely seeking help in interpersonal relationships. Not only was he there during one of the most difficult times in our lives (over five years ago), has has continued to be a resource for conflict resolution and has tirelessly helped to rebuild our family. After the devastating loss of our daughter, he helped to restore confidence and joy in our lives again. I will forever be greatful for the care that he provided our family, and continues to provide to this day.

Horrible, ego and monetary gain are his focus. He's unethical and shouldn't be seeing anyone. If anyone is willing to share their story, I need help destroying this monster. He's ruined my life and my child's and is seeking out helping my exe take custody based on fabrication. He lies and manipulates to make it appear as though he's helping, but two ends against the middle is far from helping. Please contact and be heard, share with the community what this person is capable of, it's time the damage ends and healing can begin and maybe being heard can help. I echo ALL of the same negative opinions of Dr. Mark Cannizzaro. This man's license should be revoked as he continues to destroy family lives versus providing the assistance that they need to be successful. He was recently removed from my court case involving my two minor children that has lasted for 2+ years. I wish I knew what his motive was other than what appeared to be ego & financial gain. Reading all of these negative reviews makes my heart heavy because Dr. Mark impacted my life in such a positive way. Some reviews look to be biased because of court cases not going in the way that the patient would have liked - completely out of Dr. Marks control.
My personal experience was fantastic. I began seeing Dr. Mark when I was only 19 years old and continued to see him for about 5 years and only stopped because I moved out of state. He helped me in SO MANY challenging chapters of my life. Dr. Mark helped me deal with my lack of confidence (finding where that stemmed from), helped me in dealing with the lack of love I was shown as a child from my mom and step-dad, gave me the courage to reach out to my biological father (and the rest of his family who were told by my biological father to never talk to me).
He spent YEARS working with me on the relationship that I longed to have with my biological father - this included meeting with my biological father and his wife on multiple occasions (they drove 2-hours to meet with him). Unfortunately, my biological father did not want a relationship with me in the end which was heartbreaking for me, but Dr. Mark helped me through that. After many sessions with him, I accepted that I wouldn't have a relationship with my biological father but he didn't stop at that. We actually worked to establish a relationship with other members of my fathers family that DID want a relationship with me. Again, my father was NOT okay with this, so it was a really touchy situation for a long time. But in the end, I was able to have a close relationship with 3 of his siblings (my aunts and uncles) and their family (cousins I never knew existed)! I would have never had the courage or confidence to get through this hard time in my life without him and his guidance. He never TOLD me what I needed to do, he only guided me to make the best decisions for myself.
Obviously, there are a lot more details that go into my story, but I wanted to share parts of it to show what a positive impact Dr. Mark had on my life in such a touch situation. I am lucky to have crossed paths with him. He truly wants the best for anyone that he meets and has such a big heart. If you get the chance to work with him, consider yourself lucky.

Dr. Cannizzaro is an amazing therapist. He goes above and beyond to help his clients. He genuinely loves helping other people, especially children. He definitely helped my son begin to deal with my divorce and how to deal with his father. In the process, he also helped me understand my ex, helping me to begin the healing process, after years of emotional abuse. When I read all the negative reviews here, it seems that they are all ones where there are court issues, which means it is already a contentious situation. People are rarely happy when they have to go to court to fight for their child, no matter what "side" they are on. I began seeing Dr. Cannizzaro myself after he helped my son so successfully. I have seen him off and on since 2009 and he has stuck with me through the darkest days of my life and is always available to talk me up when I'm in a very dark place. I really like his style. He shares anecdotes that help me see that others may have a similar situation and that they have dug themselves out of their similar "hole". His anecdotes never share names or identifying information. I have trusted Dr. Cannizzaro so much that I have referred several friends and family members to him and they have all come to trust him as well. My daughter actually told me that "I owe some of my happiness to him. He helped make me a better person. He also "taught me that I could stand on my own two feet, and survive my worst nightmare." So not only has Dr. Cannizzaro helped me immensely, but my son, daughter, and a niece, as well. I would recommend anyone I know to Dr. Cannizzaro with complete faith in his ability to help them with whatever issues they may be facing.

My child and I see Dr. Cannizzaro. We have seen him for a few years. When we first started needing to see a psychologist, I wanted my child to see the best so I researched and Dr. Cannizzaro came highly recommended by someone I trust. We made an appointment with ease. My child and I had the nervous feeling on the day of the first appointment, but that went away as Dr. Cannizzaro went to work thinking outside the box on how to get our situation resolved. Dr. Cannizarro was professional and talked with ease. Dr. Cannizarro allowed us to feel that we weren't alone and went over and beyond to utilize all options available for our situation. He never once gave up, even when things were difficult. Dr. Cannizarro is one of the reasons my child and I are smiling, confident and thriving.
