BE AWARE!!! He’s a crook! Dr. Alex was trying to charge me over $890- to extract my tooth when I chose to get a second opinion and the oral surgeon said I only have to pay a $40- copay for the procedure!!!!! HE definitely DOES NOT CARE ABOUT HIS PATIENTS the way a doctor should. HE IS OUT TO GET YOUR MONEY!!! My visit was on 9/27/22. He didn’t say hi to me or introduce himself since I took a picture of my x-ray, instead he went on a rant on how he hates when people do that and he would give me a picture of my x-ray and never did!! He said he was going to Have a prescription for antibiotics called in for me because my gum is inflamed since I need to have one of my molars removed since it cracked in half and broke off and he never called into my pharmacy. And to top it off he was only looking at the x-ray, he was so busy boasting about doing this for “over 30 years” that he almost didn’t look inside my mouth to even see my tooth!!!! And his exact words were “oh I almost forgot let me look inside your mouth and see what’s going on”! Seriously… What doctor or dentist or oral surgeon will forget to even look at the issue. Not getting my work done by him! Today (9/29/22) I called the office to see about the prescription and the secretary stated it was called in and was going to call the pharmacy to confirm. Then she called me back to say since I posted my review the doctor won’t be calling it in… WHAT IS THE TRUTH? Was it called in or not. What a joke. So unprofessional. I’m so glad I decided to take my health care somewhere else.

Dr Montezem and his staff are very good at making you feel comfortable and keeping in contact with you after the procedure and the office is spotless

I waiting 2 months to have a consultation and another 2 months to schedule the surgery (my son needed an exposure and bracket). 10 Days before the surgery the office called me to cancel the appointment and said Dr. Alex Montazem was no longer doing that procedure. Maybe you should complete the procedure on those you have scheduled and stop booking any new cases.

I went in for a scheduled wisdom teeth extraction. All my forms explained I needed to not eat 8 hours before, wear loose clothes, and have a driver ready. Therefore, I did that and prepared for a 3:30 surgery. However, I was made to wait over 30mins because they forgot to have me sign a HIPPA form before they placed me in the “doctor’s” room. Apparently, the “doctor”, Dr. Alex Montazem, couldn’t see me until I got the form signed. The reason for the delay was because of traffic in the hall, which was only Alex walking back and forth and no one could be in his way. He finally gets to my room to explain this is a consultation and the surgery isn’t happening. I begin to call my driver into the room to hear the info and he gets frustrated at the idea of repeating himself twice when no one asked him to do that. Then, begins to speed through my X-ray and all the risks. I never knew any of the risks of a wisdom teeth extraction, so I was shocked and needed him to slow down and answer my questions. I started asking about the specifics about the chance of half my mouth being permanently numb and he shut me down by saying he’s worked for over 25 years and knows what he’s talking about and will not tell me anything he doesn’t have to. So basically he refused to answer my questions because they would have required answers with more words than the script he tells everybody and it’s clear with his emotional intelligence is lacking and he’s not capable of that. He’s nurse tried to defend him saying he has other patients and is honest unlike other doctors, but I’ve had honest doctor that explain the risk and then allow patients to ask questions and they have answers. This man was just rude and disrespectful. After he showed his disrespect, he explains he picks and chooses if he takes out all teeth. He said something he doesn’t take them all out if he doesn’t feel like it. Then he tried to backtrack but he made that comment after we went back and forth with him telling me I’m trying to make him say things he don’t have to say and that he knows better than me when no one argued that. I wouldn’t recommend this trash excuse for a doctor. He does what he wants only and has no concern for his patients benefit. Asking a question is too much for him so how would you trust him with your teeth. In the end, found out the appointment was only a consultation and I wasted my time not eating, wearing loose clothes, and finding a driver.

Staff made an error scheduling my appt. Then I show up noone answers the phone and door was locked. Finally got them to open after waiting and knocking. Then they refused to do the procedure asked by my dentist which was an extraction, which I had a referral for. They wanted me to see the dr for another consult which wasnt needed since i legit have a hole in my tooth n my dentist said it had to be taken out asap. Thats what i made the appt for when I called to schedule. Then after the consult they wanted me to wait almost a month for my extaction. Honestly they just want the copay money. I ended up walking out and seeing Dr. Panchal instead the next day with no issued. Thank u Dr. Panchal for saving my mouth!
