On my first visit Dr Apedo was open and willing to listen to my thyroid issues. Although I felt she was not current with changing standards in that field, and I had to cite several studies before she started me on medication. With each subsequent visit, I had to cite studies and insist on what I felt was necessary. I finally started feeling better, then she decreased my meds. Feeling crummy again and TSH is slowing rising...but I'm "In range". Ok, I may not have any hair left, no energy and always wearing a fleece (even in warm weather) but my lab values are in range. Whatever happened to physicians PRACTICING medicine with CLINICAL CORRELATION? Dr Apedo is clearly caught up in EMRs and lab values.

She is very nice but was not thorough in blood work. Didn't detect that I had hypothyroidism even though I told her all my symptoms that pointed towards it, yet didn't order the correct blood work to see if that is what I had.
