I was pleased with the doctor, but: I went in for an eye exam which was covered 100% by my insurance. During the exam, I told the doctor that my eyes irritated me at night and she suggested I place a hot towel on my head to relieve the itching. After the exam I went to settle with the front desk and they explained that I now had to pay $50 since I mentioned that my eyes itched so they would no longer bill it as a simple eye exam (they said they would bill the insurance for both services, but they would use two diagnosis codes and since the exam was listed as the second code, I would have to pay them and correct it with my insurance company later which seemed odd). It's not that big of an issue, but it's an uneasy feeling to get nickel and dimed by a physician's office. Simply put: The doctor was good, but beware of the billing dept.
