Terrible experience a few years ago. Left a scar on my family. It is surprising that she is even allowed to continue her practice.

Dr. Melodie Schafer is far and away the most skilled, professional and effective therapist I've been to. I've been to two other therapist and they don't even compare. I started with personal therapy and later couples counseling. I can't begin to put into words the work we've done and how much better I am now.

On both the personal and relationship fronts there there has been marked results. She will challenge you to grow and help show you the blindspots that are holding you back. If you are interested in really getting help and going deep, then she is the one to see.

This is not easy work by any means, it's some of the most challenging work I've ever done both personally and in my relationship on every level . The rewards for showing up and doing the work are immense. I can't recommend her enough, and if you are fortunate to work with her and commit to a length of time, I'm positive you will se results.

I don't know what everyone is talking about on here. Maybe, people only want to hear what they want to hear and not what is the truth. Dr. Schaefer has helped me tremendously for the last 9 years, through all stages of my life. Her vast knowledge of medicine and therapy has been so helpful in me making decisions. Seriously, these reviews are astonishing.

She was always late and extremely rude. She was never on time and would sometimes be 20 minutes late. She was no help, extremely rude and overall an awful therapist. Wouldn’t recommend her to my worst enemy.

Dr. Schaefer has an amazing intelligence and breadth of knowledge in psychology. It is unfortunate that she has used her position of power as a supervisor, trainer and educator over the years to manipulate and degrade others. Her lack of empathy and compassion is at times, shocking. Truly a disturbed individual.

Saw for 6 months. This is someone who has a huge blind spot. It's too bad too as she has some ability to be a healer. If considering her, I'd advise you to look for a much more self-aware psychologist. She's better at seeing into others than herself.

This is by far the worst person known to man kind. She was the training director at a psychology graduate program. She micromanaged everyone, and lied. This lady has severe personality disorder traits. Stay away from this person.

Cold and calculating - That's how I'd describe her. My husband and I can in for counseling and after 2 sessions we were much further apart than we were at the start. Instead of bringing us together, she'd twisted our words and pulled us further apart. I got a sick sense that she almost enjoyed it. Everyone seems to recommend counseling for couples in a rough spot. Just don't pick this one...
