Misidagnosed lobular breast cancer as ductal cancer with profound prognostic implication since lobular is found more frequently in the opposite breast. Failed to return 2 phone inquiries asking for explanation of ways these two malignancies could be confused. Misdiagnosis confirmed at 3 different pathology programs at regional cancer centers. Also misdiagnosed brain stem lesion in child of a friend. Works at St Vincent Hospital.
