The most awful experience I've ever had with a doctor. She forgot who I was every single time I went there. Almost as if it was our first encounter. I had to remind her what I prescribed every time. She never offered new info either. And she is money HUNGRY. I didn't have the money to pay for a missed appointment and now I am without my medicine and having serious withdrawals (suicidal thoughts, major depression, brain zaps.) **** you Victoria Witt. You are heartless.

Every time I went felt like the first time they ever met me. I missed an appointment while out of the country. I knew I would have to pay for that, I was aware. But when I called to reschedule, I was given an appt 3 weeks away. (My appts usually took about 15 mins, total, mind you.) when I asked if they could help me since my medication would run out just prior to that, I was told No. I said cold-turkey withdrawal from psychotropic medications is hellacious and dangerous, and was then told by the receptionist, Brandi, "Well, then, I guess you shouldn't have missed your appointment." My primary care physician was horrified by this story, and their dispassionate disregard for the suffering of an established patient. I could go on about the overblown unnecessary charges that came out of my pocket, then found out from insurance company they filed incorrect paperwork. Can't get an itemized bill, and I'm sure I'll never see a dime. Go anywhere else.

I saw Dr.Witt 3 times within a 2 month span. On my first visit she seemed attentive to my problems and took notes throughout the session. However, she spent most of the appointment time discussing her hatred of insurance companies and her policies regarding her fees. The second and third appointments were even worse. She obviously did not review any of her notes, had no clue what I was there for and did not know what she had prescribed earlier. She changed some of my medications and told me she would contact my treating physicians, but did not. She asked me to check with my pharmacy and insurance company regarding a fairly new medication she thought would be helpful. On the next appointment she recommended a different medication and had no idea she discussed something different at the prior appointment. This concerns me as it appeared she wrote "everything" down during our sessions. On my last visit, she walked in the door and rudely announced that she had not received a payment yet from the insurance company and felt we should not continue with the session for fear of my having to pay the exorbitant fees that are accumulating. She stated that if I continue to see her I would be responsible for all charges and if she prescribed a medication that required "physician authorization" from the insurance company, she would charge $250.00 for the phone call. Since then, I have checked with my insurance company and all legitimate charges have been paid at the contractual rate. If there was a delay in payment of her bills, it would have been because of a error in the way the claim was presented to them (or possibly because of her track record with the insurance company). Needless to say, I will not be returning.

I was charged over $1,000 to take fill in the dot paper tests. The secretary used a template to grade the tests and this is how I was diagnosed! AND charged $1,000+.
I paid on every visit and a month after I stopped going to this office, I received a bill. After several attempts to contact her office to clear up the matter, I was sent to collections. I asked for a copy of the bill from the collection agency and then sent them my proof of payment. Turned out that I was actually OVER charged and her office owes me! The collection agency dropped the collection efforts and I have tried numerous times to collect the money her office owes me for overpayment. Over one year now, and no one has every returned my call or my MONEY! Maybe I should find a collection agency to collect the debt on my behalf.
If you are looking for a quack that will overcharge you but gladly prescribe medication, then take my advice and save all of your payment receipts!

Dr. Witt is generally a good therapist who also happens to need a very good therapist to work though her own neurotic tendecies. When I first started she was in need of patients and was punctual and caring. I believe that she nailed my diagnosis from the beginning and her recommended course of treatment demonstrated a competent grasp of the therapeutic process. I was extremely suicidal and I can sencerely state that Dr. Witt saved my life. However, as her practice became busier she became more distant, less punctual. She seemed a bit overwhelmed at times and was unprepared for appointments as the first 10 minutes of a visit were spent reminding her of what was covered in the last visit. Her method of billing and payment left a lot to be desired. I was a cash paying patient and was alarmed to see my credit card charged multiple times for one visit. I felt uneasy that if a visit ran over 5 minutes that she would charge you for that time. For the first six months she recommended visits 3 times a week, which in retrospect was a bit much. and I ended up spending over $20,000. In the first year there were 2 fee increases. Dr. Witt is very attuned to the fee generation side of things to the point of being distasteful. Once I paid by check which I made out for $175.00. When she looked at the check she reminded me that the fee was now $180.00. I didn't have another check so I took out my wallet and offered her what was obviously the last $5.00 in cash I had in my pocket. She accepted it. Getting the prescriptions she recommended was always an adventure. Faxes back and forth between office and pharmacy were lost or misplaced. Unacceptable amount of time spent making calls from pharmacy to the receptionist and back to straighten out what could of been a straight forward process of writing a prescription on a pad and handing it to patient. My feeling is that Dr. Witt has a fear of prescribing medications due to possible lawsuits. Moving along with theraphy I reached a point in the process that therapist refer to as "transference." At this point I had a deep emotional attachment to Dr. Witt which from what I have since researched is not all that unusual. A Dr. with her experience should be well equipped to handle this in therapy, but she seemed bemused by the situation and absolutely lost on where to lead me from that point. She became angry that I was not going to be a quick fix for her admitting that she "did not like to lose." After almost 2 years of therapy Dr. Witt's solution was to summarily discharge me from treatment without a bridge or referral to another Therapist or a way to obtain her prescribed medications until I found my own therapist. Usually, this is a common courtesy provided by all Doctors. Nothing like being fired by your therapist. Its an unbelivable feeling of rejection with no closure or explanation. I did find another suitable therapist but when I requested a copy of my records she stated there would be a $140.00 charge which she justified as being "allowed by the State of Louisiana"...you know the cost of paper and printer ink being what it is. It was like pulling teeth to get the records and when I did get them there was 100 pages (double spaced and lots of white) of a rambling dialogue of misperceptions and speculation. I'm in a much better place mentally thanks in part to some of the groundwork laid by Dr. Witt. However, I have to acknowledge the set back that she caused. I have a therapist now who is prepared for my visits and who is not afraid of the give and take process involved in finding ones mental health. The odd thing is that if Dr. Witt would get her act together and lose that narcissistic part of her personality i could recommend her.

I took my son to Dr Witt. Initial consultation was $365 billed to my insurance. Next she did a test on him to see what was going on with him. My insurance was billed 5 times for $275 for a total of $1375 for the second visit. Third and last visit my insurance was billed $275. He had to call the morning of the forth visit and cancel because he thought he had the flu. The receptionist was rude to him and then I got a bill for the missed appointment.... $225. I didn't pay so she's turned me over to a collection agency. Worst thing... my son is worse off after dealing with her than before this all started.... :(

Terrible experience. She appears to have an agenda that revolves pushing pseudo-science as scientific fact and has a ridiculous amount of hoops [expensive and lengthy ones] to jump through to get even a prescription for an antidepressant. Absolutely ludicrous. I was there for 3 hours and it was the biggest waste of time in my life. She sat there preaching at me and justifying her "method" the entire time. Highly recommend that you find ANYONE else.

Auths so Dr Witt was disinterested with my care or medical needs. However, she was not disinterested in making sure she got AS MUCH MONEY AS POSSIBLE from me. She is not a contracted provider for my MAJOR insurance co. She took my blood pressure, weighed me and every visit always asked me to remind her why I was there. My mother had passed away and many other difficult issues WERE GOING ON IN MY LIFE. She didn't even take the time to simply review my chart before each visit. She insisted administering a "paper pysch analysis" for 500.00. It looked as though it came off the internet. I questioned her the outcomes and she wouldn't discuss it. She also needed to do some Prior my insurance would pay for meds and she would never even call the pharmacy back, on two seperate occasions. When I mentioned I would not be coming back she wouldn't even give me a copy of my medical records. I am a retired pharmaceutical rep, please beware-aware.

Dr. Witt is great! She really takes the time to sit down with me and go through everything that we need to discuss without feeling like I was on a time limit or anything.
