Dr. Wendorff's eye practice tried to pressure and hard sell me contacts through them while at my vision screening. I refused and asked for my prescription so I could shop elsewhere because I knew I could get a decent deal as they upcharge and their prices are ridiculous. When attempting to order contacts online, Dr. Wendorff's office sent the online contacts seller the WRONG eye prescription TWICE and was blaming it on the online seller for getting things wrong. I spoke with 2 different staff at Wendorff's, both telling me that they hadn't received any faxes/forms from the retailer, which did not make any sense. After speaking to the online retailer, the company stated that Wendorff's would not authorize my prescription nor would they honor the 1 year of contacts I ordered. The seller sent me the proof of their actions - the faxes from Wendorff's office as documentation, and indeed. Dr. Wendorff signed off on the WRONG prescription TWICE. The retailer finally contacted Wendorff's staff directly, and finally received authorization for the correct prescription. Never in my life have I had such trouble ordering contacts. I will say that the staff there were very nice when talking to me over the phone but I don't understand how they kept getting my Rx wrong and then Dr. Wendorff kept signing off on it?? I do not trust this place anymore so I will never be going back.
