Only Dentist I've ever been to that will go for a crown over a tiny filling. We won't be back. I don't feel like I can trust them to just do fillings. I went today because my son broke his teeth jumping on a trampoline and they wanted to do crowns and I had to ask to get his two teeth filed a bit so they would quit digging into his gums. My oldest they told my husband that they prefer crown because filling don't last. I have fillings from when I was 12 and I'm 36! Obviously they last if you do them right! I'm done. Seeing her new office actually irritated me a bit. All the assistants petting kids heads is a bit odd. Sad all the parents that just trust they are doing the least invasive and best for their children. Nice sugar coated building.

When I was younger I was taken here and had 7 teeth removed without any medication. My mother was not allowed back with me. She ended up coming back anyways and found them hold me down while taking my teeth out. We never went back there after this and I still have a fear of dentists and cannot go without my mom or siblings. Other dentists I’ve been to never had a problem letting my mom be with me. Even when I was getting teeth pulled. I highly do not recommend taking your child here because from personal experience I am still traumatized to this day from this experience. If u
I could give 0 stars I would.

arrived at 745 for appointment at 8 didn't get acknowledged until 830, staff was rough with both kids, they refused to return, never saw the dentist but she did call me and assist with transfer of care to another dentist. Never had a problem with a dental office until this one.

My daughter has bad anxiety when it comes to the dentist, they did an AMAZING job to put her at ease! Love it!

I understand the first commenter - that children queue off of their parents. I was very upbeat with my daughter and my son - the first experience was not the worst but not the best. The part that bothers me the most is that I was told during our first visit that they would explain to my child what would happen even so I tried to explain to her myself before we went and that if I was needed they would come get me. I agree with the second two comments as well - my daughter was traumatized. She asked for me, they did not get me. When I went back she was soaking wet from sweat, her face completely red from crying, and the comment from the dentist to a mother who was not communicated with otherwise was "She's a wild child" a phrasenever before or since used to describe her. Dr. also mentioned next time using a velcro blanket. There will be no next time. I would not recommend this experience to anyone, I picked her based on ratings elsewhere, wish I had these before I went.

My three children have been cared for by this Dentist for years. She and her staff are nothing but professional and caring. Kids do well in a doctor or dentist office based on their confidence in their parents whom they look to for their cue on how to respond to a situation. Obviously if the parent is troubled, the children will be to.

My son had to have a pulpectomy after a different dentist filled over a cavity that he did not properly drill out. I explained to dr. Scherrman how traumatized he was by that experience and still she would not let me go back with him for this procedure. When they told me I could go get him he was crying hysterically and begged me to never make him go to a dentist again. He said that the pain was horrible and they gave him nothing for it. Since I was not allowed to go back with him, I don't know if they gave him anything or not. I'm sure dr schermann is fine when it doesn't come to drilling or doing other major things. She I guess doesn't understand that kids get scared and sometimes need their parents there. Needless to say, we will not be going back. I'm sure my son will now have a lifelong fear of the dentist!

For this to be a Pediatric Dentistry I would suggest not to ever take any child there. We took are 4 yr old and she was completely traumatized by the experience, not to mention Dr. Jayne Sherman was completely hateful in her speaking to our child during the procedure. They don't let you go back with them so you wait in the lobby and listen to your child scream from fear and pain, and the so called sleepy medicine is a SHOT they don't give the child gas or any type of medicine of any type except to numb the area to give the shot. They hold your child down during the entire procedure. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD IF YOU EVER WANT THEM TO GO TO ANOTHER DENTIST APPOINTMENT. For Jayne F. Sherman if you can't realize that a 4yr old will be scared during a procedure of any type you need to get a clue. This is a reflection of my thoughts of Pediatric Dentistry in Cape Girardeau, MO
