I wish I could leave a good comment but this doctor is extremely unprofessional and a total alarmist. After having my second son at Chomp, Dr. Ruckle was the first doctor to see my son. My son had a high white blood count and she made it sound like my son was not going to make it. She had us frightened beyond belief. Fortunately, a new doctor came on call and gave us a realistic perspective and plan for my sons condition. He's 4 now and perfectly healthy. I honestly think this woman should not be practicing. It's actually kind of sad.

I disagree with the statements made about Dr. Ruckle. We saw Dr. Penn for years and loved him. When my daughter started puberty she wanted to go to a female doctor. Doctor Ruckle was wonderful. Like Dr. Penn, Dr Ruckle took as much time as needed to answer questions we had as completely as we needed. This is a VERY busy practice and for good reason. These doctors are the best. I HAVE NEVER been told that I couldn't bring in my sick child. They have always encouraged me to bring her in if I was concerned. That is a generosity that is rare today. Of course I would/should expect to wait for an available doctor without an appt.but grateful that they'll allow me to come in. Even with an appointment you might wait a bit but if you want these doctors as your child's pediatrician, the most recommended on the peninsula, then you may have to wait. It's worth it and I would still recommend this practice

She was VERY hard to communicate with. When I asked questions about what my son should be doing at his age, she wouldn't give a straight answer. When questioned advice given by former doctor, she acted like it was crazy talk and gave a completely opposite answer. This lady has been in practice for 26 yrs - it's very, very evident that she doesn't keep up w/modern day medicine. This was at the first appt and I scheduled next appt w/a different doctor that same day.

Ive had a really hard time communicating with her. My daughter was in the hospital and it was like pulling teeth to get a straight answer. The nurses said her report to them was very vague on our daughters care. Very hard to get a hold of her. I think she means well, just hard to communicate with.

We started with another doctor in the same office. After waiting up to 2 1/3 hours for him, she was willing to see the kids. First visits were most satisfactory. However, when a crisis came, she did not provide any kind of support, made some dubious medical decisions, and put our youngster's problems way down on the list of priorities. It was like seeing a completely different person. Left the practice for more stable medical environment for our kids.
