I just had my Lasik done with Dr. Schanzlin and I had the best experience ever from New Vision. Right from the very beginning of my consultation and through all my follow ups they have been with me every step of the way. They explain every detail of what to expect and answered all of my questions. They meticulously check to make sure you are a good candidate and go into every detail about the surgery. I just want to commend every one at their office. Elizabeth who went above and beyond and took extra care of me. Robin my counselor who had so much patience and assured me that everything was going to be ok. Big Thanks to Dr. Schanzlin who made this all possible! He was very professional and even spoke to my family who watched every minute of my procedure. He even dressed up my son to be a doctor which was very cool. He's very down to earth and so nice which made me feel so much at ease. Big thanks to all the staff over there and Dr. Pust who is just phenomenal. Eye surgery is a big choice and I feel I made the best decision in coming to New Vision Institute. They really go out of their way to make you feel like family. That to me is priceless. I highly recommend them and they are the top Lasik Institute in San Diego hands down.

I am in my mid-30's and my contact lens powers were -6 before the surgery. The thing that made me finally have this procedure was the hassle I went through tending to my toddlers in the middle of the night - rushing in without finding my glasses, just blindly going into their room to help them find their teddy bear, water, blanket only relying on my hands because I couldn't see anything!

I had the best experience possible with this team. Staff, technicians and doctor S were all friendly and professional, the procedure and recovery was just as explained, and my vision is better than 20/20 the morning after the surgery! Like everyone else says, I don't know why I didn't do it sooner!

Dr. Schanzlin did LASKIK on my husband about 15 years ago when he was @ Shiley with good results. I knew when I was ready he was the doctor I wanted. So glad to find him again & have him do my LASIK procedure (July 2016). And his staff are all very professional & top notch too! Thanks!

The entire staff was friendly and accessible. Very easy to schedule an appointment and wait time in office was just about none. Dr. Schanzlin has a great bedside manner to ease the nerves. LASIK procedure was quick and virtually painless thanks to the attentive staff. I cannot say enough positive words about my experience. Dr. Schanzlin is a phenomenally caring and knowledgeable doctor. I was extremely apprehensive about the surgery before the first visit, but they provide comprehensible information and are so patient and caring. Dr. Schanzlin and his staff were able to perform cataract surgery on me, an RK patient from the 1980's, who recently had a retina reattached and a vitrectomy. Because of their skill and use of the latest technology I won't need to wear glasses. Nobody in Sandpoint or Spokane was able to provide the service I needed due to the above conditions. I am so fortunate to have had these fine people doing what they do best. I can't say enough good things about the entire experience.

This a very compassionate and caring eye doctor. I was having severe eye pain cause by something not even related to his area of the eye he protected my cornea and at least gave me some relief and encouraged the other physician who was helping me to take a more aggressive stance he was absolutely wonderful.

Gave me astigmatism with my first Lasik surgery. I had ghosting during the day when reading and huge halos at night. I had corneal edema for 2 weeks and was never seen by an MD, only an optometrist. When I went back for an enhancement, he called me a Lasik junkie. I still have ghosting and have to wear contacts plus glasses now. My vision is worse now than before I started.
