Biography
Dr. Robert Benson earned his Bachelors of Science at Eastern Michigan University and his Medical Degree at Wayne State University focusing on General Surgery and Anesthesiology. From 1995 to 1996 he completed a Fellowship at Vanderbilt in Pain Management. Dr. Benson also earned his Anesthesiology Board Certification from ABA. From 2002 to 2007 he served as Attending Anesthesiologist at Town and Country Hospital in Tampa. He also served in the same capacity at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg. In 2007, Dr. Benson became Medical Director for the St. Andrews Surgical Center in Venice . He has successfully published studies in the IASP Journal and Pain Digest.
