I am so grateful to have finally found (10+ years ago) a doctor who specializes in ALL the healthcare related issues that come with being a 57 year old woman. Dr Powderly is now my primary care provider, an investment like no other. The annual care Dr Powderly provides is absolutely thorough. I can discuss any/all health related issues with her, and her thoughtful responses, suggestions and prescriptions are pure gold. In a world now saturated with celebrity endorsed salves, potions and supplements etc, I trust Dr Powderly’s advice exclusively. My healthcare is something I regard as top priority, and I’m willing invest in my relationship with my knowledgeable, compassionate and trustworthy doctor. So far, so good!

I was there several years ago, and had a similar experience as someone shared on this site... I spent my last couple of thousand of dollars to see her out of desperation to resolve some health issues I was dealing with. Yes... she spends time with you. She should. She is charging you $350 for your first visit... and $250 a visit thereafter if out of network... which most probably are. And if you have to wait, you wait very comfortably in her huge elaborate waiting room with fireplace, expensive furniture, leather chairs and oh yes, an expensive curio cabinet filled with expensive seasonal trinkets that are changed with the season... And then when you run out of money... you're cut off... lol... Funny thing is.. I paid all that money and she kept referring me out to go spend more money elsewhere as well. They sell their own supplements and essential oils... Its all about money, money and more $$$. So sad that someone would go into this field to supposedly help where help is needed... but it appears like I said... its about the $$$ In the end, she really did nothing for me... but led me on a better path elsewhere.

I went to powderly because I had a real problem with vaginal discomfort and hormone issues. She was very comforting and it seemed knowledgeable. I knew she didn't take my insurance but was so desperate I didn't care how much I paid if it was only a couple hundred and better vs many $25 copays and still not better. I had an abnormal pap there and that was the end of my treatment there. She wanted to do to a chemical peel which was 1800 and a leep which was 1200 and neither worked even with the immune supplements she wanted me to take. I don't have that kind of money. I opted to see a in-network doctor who chose to just leave it alone rather than act when it isn't necessary. At that point I almost felt I was being taken advantage of. He staff is so so. The nurses seemed to be nice to me. She is never on time though. She can be hours late. And apparently one of her staff called to yell at my new doctor for not sending the results of my second pap to powderlys office. not to professional.

I was told that this doc was the best in my area for hormone replacement. She insisted I use her supplements and on these I became horribly sick. When I asked her about her knowledge in the area of adrenal fatigue, she told me that it wasn't her supplements that made me so sick..it must have been a bad batch of my thyroid meds (which I have been using for years with no problems). Also, she will not return phone calls...has the accupuncturist in her office do it for her. Is that what I paid $1400 out of pocket for? I have been very sick for 2 months and still don't have any answers from her. Whatever you do, don't let her put you on DHEA! I've never written a bad review of a doctor in my life. This one is totally deserving.

Dr. Mary Powderly is the most comprehensive physician I have ever encountered. I am an RN and have alot of experiences working with physicians. She has the rare combination of being extremely knowledgable, kind and compassionate. A rare quality in today's health care field! Although you do spend a great deal of time in the waiting room, it is well worth it! She spends her time LISTENING TO and speaking with her patients. She combines traditional, complementary and alternative health practices to customize your health care. I can't say enough about Dr. Mary Powderly. She has become my primary care physician. Only down side in the office is her office manager/business partner. She can be abrupt at times. Just overlook that.

Dr. Powderly is knowledgeable and excellent at providing top notch care for women. Unfortunately, a family member is her office manager and can be highly combative and rude and to patients.

Dr. Powderly is wonderful - she is the solution to the female problems your other doctors can't won't don't know how to address. Be prepared to wait, but she's worth it - only problem is her staff is not up to par, and don't speak to her nurse practioner, insist on speaking with the doctor directly.

I LOVE Mary Powderly!I don't mind the wait when I'm there....she spends ALLOT of time with each of her patients. When she's with me. I know I have her full attention for as long as its needed. Very knowlegable about alternative as well as traditionalmedicine. She's my personal Christiane Northrup! Very easy to talk to, down to earth, a treasure of a doctor. Can't say enough good about her. Only negative is that she doesn't take my insurance, but I just pay and submit and get reimbursed.
