I went to Dr. Aoki for my tonsil surgery. Being an adult in my 30s, I was quite anxious, but Dr. Aoki was great, very patient, personable, and knowledgeable. He spent a lot of time at our first visit discussing the pros and cons of surgery; I certainly never felt pressured to have surgery. The surgery went flawlessly, and the recovery was fairly easy. Yes, tonsillectomy isn't a walk in the park, but I had no bleeding and little swelling and seemed to recover quickly - I'm sure at least some of that is due to Dr. Aoki's skill. His staff is also incredibly, especially the patient coordinator, Rochelle. She promptly handled all my work-related paperwork for sick leave, called in prescription refills, etc. She answered all my calls quickly. I had a couple days where the pain was intense, and Dr. Aoki called me personally to see how I was doing and then called in a stronger pain med for me. He was really accessible, and I never waited longer than 15 minutes to see him. Highly recommended!
