I’ve been a patient of Dr. Bao for years. She is brilliant and kind. She is not an old time country doctor who wants to hear your life story nor does she need any patient to self diagnose or treat. She is well aware of her specialty and what can be offered within the boundaries of her speciality. She is an excellent endocrinologist. She has literally saved my life when other “endocrinologists” had failed to treat my T1d properly. I enjoy my visits with her very much. She always has plenty of time to discuss relevant issues. I do not want to waste time with off topic discussion and neither does she. Dr. Bao is the best.

I could not have been more pleased. Dr. Bao spent a great deal of time getting a complete medical history during my initial visit. She is obviously quite brilliant. She has tremendous knowledge about her area of focus, yet she took great care to make sure she answered all my questions and made sure I felt comfortable with her recommendations. She was very professional and very considerate during my physical exam, even while being very thorough . She was sensitive to all of my concerns, including the emotional nature of the problems I had been experiencing. I believe Dr. Bai to be one the finest doctors I've ever used.

Dr. Bao spent a great deal of time discussing the treatment plan of my diabetes. Her office staff was very polite. They follow my sugar readings closely, and adjust my insuln every week until my sugar is under good control.

Poor listening skills & bedside manner. Came in overtalking me. Would not listen. Did not explain plan of care. Very rude.

She was the fourth endocrinologist I've seen over the last 4 years and she is BY FAR the WORST. She was very rude, wouldn't let me say anything, told me symptoms don't matter, even tried to tell me the replacement thyroid hormone I preferred (I don't have a thyroid anymore) was just an over the counter supplement when it is indeed an rx! Of course she wouldn't listen to me when I said it wasn't over the counter. She didn't even look it up. She was awful. Even told me that if I didn't like her I could find someone else. Said that everyone complains of their symptoms but they just have to live with them. I couldn't believe it. Then, I get a bill in the mail for $400 for seeing her for 15 minutes! What?? $400? No wonder insurance is getting to be so expensive. That is absurd. It wasn't work a quarter of that to be belittled by her.

Ok. Doesn't spend a lot of time with you, but her staff makes up for that.
