I've known Dr. Pratty for 12 years. I initially went to see him upon the recommendation of my primary physician. I was going through some things that I didn't understand. I was hospitalized several times and doctors couldn't find anything physically wrong with me except the ailments I suffered from already, ​having degenerative bone disease. I went to see Dr Pratty skeptical of his abilities. From the moment I sat down until the end of my session, he knew instinctively what was aleling me. I have never cried so much in my life. All that I had bottled up for years came out. He saved my life, and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for help!

I had the unfortunate experience of coming in contact with this poor excuse of a Dr. I was doing a voluntary outpatient program, the reason my other poor excuse of a Dr. wanted me to go was because of the intense side effects I kept having with every medication she prescribed. She said if I did this then they could "monitor " what was happening. Bear in mind this was a program for people that needed constant support and having been released from a hospital ward. I met him 2x for 10 minutes at the second meeting he asks questions, do you have family history of psychiatric problems etc. When he asked if there was a history of alcohol abuse I said no just like I had to every other question, at that point he slammed his hand on the table called me a lair and said every family has an alcoholic. I just looked at him and said I'm sorry your family is messed up but we don't drink in my family. He then told him I was bipolar, needed to start a medication immediately, and to write down the title of a book he wanted me to go buy. I said I can remember a book title but wouldn't let it go so I pulled out the pen and paper and the title was Bipolar for Dummies! I just looked at him he fumbled saying he wasn't insinuating anything then proceeded to tell me I couldn't read more than 10 pages a day. That's not how I work I told him and that I would read however many pages I wanted if I even bought the book! He told me I had no choice, I replied yes I do I don't have to come here again, I stood up to leave he thanked me for trusting him. I laughed and said I trust you as far as I can throw you and left never going back. The program people called I explained what happened thanked them for their time and concern but I wasn't coming back to be treated like an imbecile . The more I researched him the more you find his private practice people say gushing things, the others feel he is an egotistical, self-centered being. I don't think human is any part of him

Dr Pratty is a pompous a$$ . He is cocky and thinks that he understands children. Do not let you child be under his supervision he will demoralize them. Then he will continue holds on children to get more $$. And he will drug your child and experiment and then say the meds aren’t working we need to adjust them and keep them longer.

He really worked to get to understand my situation. He is compassionate and treated me with great respect and today I am doing so much better because of him. I highly recommend him. My depression and irritabily are so much better. My husband feels his treatment of me helped save our marriage.

He is a horrible doctor and he doesn’t care he just wants your money and doesn’t care about your well being I literally spoke to him all together for like 5 minutes he was mean and made me feel worse and i wanted to Kill myself more don’t go to him. He told me he didn’t care multiple times. Worse doctor ever!!!

Horrible experience under the care of this individual. He was supposed to be my dr, but was seen only once by him and then by someone whom worked beneath him (so to speak). Got horrific care and developed gallstones from medication that was rxed. Was eventually put back on regular meds I had told the facility I was on for ten years before being admitted. Pratty is an arrogant man, in my opinion. He doesn’t listen or care, and seems to gauge insurance companies through his facility.

He helped me so much during my last hospitalization. He looked over my medication and medical problems in a way that no doctor has done before. He even called my family doctor to discuss my case. His understanding of medications saved my life.

My depression has now been stable for almost 1 year and I have remained clean and sober also all because of Dr. Pratty. For the first time in over 10 years I felt confident to go on a vacation with my spouse and kids, and know now that they appreciate me.

He helped us beyond all that we could have expected with our mother who was having emotional issues related to her Alzheimer's Disease. I now understnad why throughout the country he is considered such an excellent psychiatrist. He has lots to teach other doctors about how to do things right. He took time to meet with our whole family. He reviewed a behavior timeline her behaviors. For now we have our mom back.

Just had my initial session with him along with 2 followup visits and I only wish that I had seen him earlier in my life. He is excellent and he appreciated my questions and loves to teach
