Dr. Mickler removed a cyst from my son’s eyebrow. It seems to be healing nicely. The staff at Sacred Heart were warm and welcoming. They took time to talk to my son about what to expect so he wouldn’t be scared. After the surgery, Dr. Mickler talked to me for about 10 minutes about how the procedure went. As far as the procedure itself, it’s too early to tell. It’s only been a week since the surgery but like I said it’s healing nicely.

Dr. Mickler was unprofessional and dismissive of me and anything I said. He diagnosed my son with a rare disorder without completing the recognized testing protocol. At follow up he used the term, "if he has __" when describing his condition. IF. This is after he was diagnosed. One of the tests was to rule out a serious and rare cancer. Not one person from his office called to discuss things with me after they sent me on my way. I called to discuss something, left a message, and no one returned my phone call. He wasn't familiar with basic terminology of a lot of the nerve pathways,etc, and instead of saying he wasn't sure he corrected me on what they were ( I was not incorrect, just using a generalized term ). It's a shame he is the only pediatric ophthalmologist in this area. I am now traveling out of town thousands of miles away for other opinions.

I brought my 3 year old son in for a few consultations then eventually surgery. Not only did he show education and confidence in his field, he was great with my son and myself, being a nervous deck. I highly recommend him!!

Dr.miclker operated on my daugther .she felt save and i as a parent felt that my daugther wad on good hands .great doctor .thank you doctor casey mickler.
