Very nice and I actually finally understood the cause of my pain. Had injections and med's elsewhere and was recommended this guy by my primary doc who said she goes to him and so do a lot of other docs. His procedures actually helped and I feel I have my life back.

I have never been treated as poorly as I was by Dr. Shah. He would not listen to me or explain my test results.

This dr is absolutely awful. My first appointment I had to wait over 30 minutes in between other patient injection appointments. When the guy finally came in, he spent less that 5 minutes with me, as if I was nothing more than a means to get paid. He was very arrogant and made me feel like I was stupid and worthless. He did not even address all of my pain only the pain that he wanted to treat with his expensive injections. Then I was told by his nurse I was going to regret taking so much ibuprofen, then Dr. Shah proceeds to tell me that ibuprofen is all I need. Major contradictions between his nurse's staments and his. I feel stuck because this is the only insurance I can get right now, and he is basically my last stop with all the pain issues I am having. Wish he interacted more with his patients as a dr should and make them feel comfortable, but you can tell he does not care and you are below him in the social structure.

Dr. Shah is a former Pharmacist from what I was told and that somehow qualifies him to be an actual "pain specialist?" I see zero indications from this based on my visits with him (4). He had no interest in listening to me and had me taking meds that made me sick. I told him the meds made me sick and I would like to try something different. Mind you, I had a herniated disc in my neck that came with a pinched nerve that caused all sorts of pain. He tells me that the meds he chose are the only thing he could give me. I did some research and there were several different meds available that could have helped. He also tells me that my condition is not that bad and that a lot of people go to work with "a herniated disc and pinched nerves"...sure they do...not with the pain I felt they wouldn't. I guess he is a neurologist now...finally I write a letter opting out of the pain clinic and the next Dr. I see about my neck tells me that Dr. Shah put in my chart that I was kicked out! Real nice...

Only thing this guy cares about is how much money he can suck out of you. After 2 years of come back in a month and we will see if any thing changes, I am about sick of him. Worst Dr. I have ever been in contact with. neither Dr. Shah nor his staff will return your phone calls unless you scream into their VM about how awful they are. He is always booked 2-3 months out, getting an appointment with him is horrendous. If it were not for my general practice physician I would leave Mercy Health system as a patient simply because of him.
