Dr. Tomassoni is an amazingly kind, knowledgeable, and empathetic doctor. I came in to the E.R. on a Sunday night hemorrhaging severely, seven days after having an emergency C-section to deliver my baby boy. I was absolutely terrified that I would bleed to death and never see my six year old daughter or newborn son again. Dr. Tomassoni helped alleviate some of my fear by saying things like "She has cubs to raise, we are going to make sure she pulls through this!" and "I like you; I am going to make sure you come out of this alright." He directly oversaw what was happening in my E.R. room and projected a high level of confidence in the manner that he directed the various E.R. nurses and staff that were helping assist. I wound up having surgery that evening and a mass transfusion of blood. I am convinced that Dr. Tomassoni's kindness and quick thinking helped me stay concious while in the E.R. and get in to the O.R. swiftly. I am incredibly thankful for what Dr. Tomassoni, Dr. Hanh, Dr. Gioioso-Datta, and many others @ the YNHH did to help me recover from what was a terrifying turn of events.
