Dr. Kalash had been my psychiatrist's "covering doctor" for a number of years; I knew him only by phone! I asked him if he could find a therapist for my Domestic Partner, given his strange work schedule and our iinsurances. When he called me back and said he'd made a few inquiries and left a few voice mails, I thanked him profusely. "Your commodity is time, Doc. How much do I owe you?" He replied that he considered his good works as "part of covering for Dr. Frogel.) I had hoped Dr. Frogel would select Dr. Kalash to whom he could "bequeath" a number of patients, including me. He knows his meds very, very well and he is an excellent therapist. Dr. Kalash genuinely cares about his patients. He treats me as a patient, but also as a peer, a fellow professional. He doesn't mind my sharing research I've done because we PhDs are trained to be researchers. Dr. Kalash gave me my life back — and that's the greatest accolade patient can bestow upon his psychiatrist.

Took time to explain things to me and my family. Had a great bedside manner and great communication skills. Wish he had a private practice!
