The doctor was able to order the test I had requested.

But overall, Dr. Yao is kinda crappy. Why? Dr. Yao said he was unwilling to even try to explain my condition. Thus, we were unable to figure out what was even wrong. It seems like he's not clear on what exactly was wrong. He asked me if I had broken the law by injecting myself. Does it matter? I'm there to get health care, not to go to jail, come on.

We visited PAMF Urgent Care Center a number of times before, mostly for our boy, and our experience has always been positive. Last Friday (4/4/2014) was no exception though this time it was for myself. The admission process was prompt. Dr. Yao checked on me after a few short minutes of wait. He was professional and courteous. His diagnosis and instructions was unambiguous and his tone reassuring. I got much better the same day after seeing Dr. Yao heeding his instructions. So there will be no need for a return visit this time. We will definitely visit this facility and hopefully Dr. Yao in the future if situation requires.

Doctor Yao although very knowledgeable was extremely condescending in his diagnoses. He also loved to point out that urgent care is "for people with heart attacks, strokes, etc.". I thought that was for the Emergency Room and was completely insensitive. If he sincerely felt that he was wasting his time we would've went somewhere else. Fortunately the admin and nursing staff are great! And every other doctor my family has encountered was great. Dr. Yao was rude and dismissive and actually was not helpful at all. If PAMF would like their patients to feel safe and at ease then they should consider training some of there staff with customer service skills and patience. Sorry my wife wasn't dying at the time Dr Yao but next time we have a petty situation we be sure to stay clear of you and Pamf urgent care.
