I called this Dr's office to schedule an appointment after locating her on the CHRISTUS website to learn she retired over three years ago. Perhaps the problem is not me for asking for an appointment, but rather the fact that CHRISTUS needs to update their Database? Just A Thought

We were forced to see Dr R back when my son was first diagnosed with Type 1 as a 5 year old. She was most unhelpful and basically the worst dr he has ever had. She didn't even seem to know the difference between type 1 and type 2 much less how to treat a child. Thankfully we got a wonderful ped endo that was a god send. Unfortunately he is now gone, but my son is grown now too. She was hateful, rude and unwilling to see things except her own way. It was one of the worst experiences. I am very connected with the Type 1 community here and they ALL agree.

Agree with others who describe this doctor as arrogant. She was most unpleasant, seemed to be bored or mind occupied elsewhere when I was describing my symptoms. She re-prescribed the med I had been taking and offered no solution, no test, etc. for my issue. As for her good reviews, can't help but wonder if she likes only male patients.

Arrogant doctor with a nasty attitude . Her attitude really stinks of a dirty diaper!
Wouldn't get my dog treated by her..do yourself a favor and go find yourself someone more knowledgeable and down to earth who actually knows what they are doing..

Dr.Meg was my assigned Dr after I suffered a stroke at age 40, and my go to Dr ever since. Best Dr I have ever had in my life, and the only one that can somehow get me to do what I am supposed to. My wife loves her and I love her. It is very unfortunate, but my company has changed insurance carrier and they don't cover Dr Meg. I will have to figure something out. I don't want to have to change Dr's. I trust Dr Meg. Great Dr!

I would never recommend this doctor to anyone after the way she dismissed me as a patient after 4 years. I had Cushing's disease from a pituitary adenoma. I went through 2 surgery's with the second one in Dallas, Tx. They removed all of the gland. I was very sick before and after until Dec. 2008. I was on 5 pituitary replacements she was to monitor. I kept having low sodium from 2003 -2008 and she would do nothing but accuse me of overmedicating with the DDAVP for diabetes insipidus. I was not . She wrote me a letter of dismissil that said if I had questions I could call. I called several times and she would not talk to me. I had to find another endocrinologist. In Dec. 2008 was my final visit to the ER after being so weak I could buy no Christmas gifts three weeks prior of lying in bed. The ER doctor found Reitmeyer was prescribing way too much of the DDAVP. I have never returned to an ER since that last visit. She is a witch that knew very well what caused my low sodium those years.

Absolutely the greatest endo ever, I have not been this happy with a doctor ever. She is kind and very knowledgeable. If you didnt like her or had a problem with her you must just be an awful person. I dont see how anyone could not like her.

I have been using Dr. Reitmeyer to manage my diabetes for 6 months. She is the most down to earth Dr. I have ever used. She has a great sense of humor and really makes you feel at ease. She just happens to be a knowledgeable, excellent doctor to boot. I am 53, went to her with my A1C @ 10.2. In 6 months it is now 7.2 and I have lost 13 lbs. (5'10", 207 lbs.quite muscular, so I was not exactly "obese"). I always enjoy her visits and leave upbeat and encouraged. I highly reccommend her! I love her style and knowledge and I bet you will too.

I would not recomend this doctor to anyone. My primary sent me to her wanting an ultrasound and biopsy of possible cold nodules that showed up on my thyroid scan. She told me she did not even need to look at my scan; that she knew I did not have thyroid cancer. Wanted me to take RAI treatment to kill one hot nodule. Only bloodwork my primary did was TSH and Free T4; other bloodwork should have been done. She would not even discuss this with me. Said I had no other option. This is not what my primary wanted and this does not correlate with all my research that I have done or my symptoms.
