He gave my husband so many medications that his MD and subsequent psychiatrists were scratching their heads. In the almost 2 years my husband saw Dr. Schlewiet, He did damage to his car or other cars 5 times, but assumed it couldn't have been the medications because a doctor was supervising his care and said it should be fine. He had a perfect driving record for 20 years and has had not problems since he switched to a new psychiatrist.

What more can I ask for; than a very experienced, knowledgeable and caring physician. We have been through a lot with our 14 years old daughter, and he was the only one who was able to get through to her and connect with her. He does not take insurance, but you really get what you pay for! We really cannot afford not to see him. Our lives at home are so much better.

Dr Shlewiet is a wonderful, caring, and highley educated doctor. He takes his time listening to his patients, answering all their questions, and making sure they get the best treatment.Never late to refill the prescriptions, or returning phone calls.

Dr. Shlewiet is amazing. He saved my life. After a long three years of sitting with various psychiatrists and psychologists, he has been the ONLY person who comes off as just that - a person; not a brick wall or a numb scientist with a prescription pad and an ego. He also treated me like a person, and not a condition.I couldn't be more grateful. I strongly recommend him if you want to move on with your life! LR

We feel so lucky to have found Dr. Shlewiet in Doylestown. It was not easy finding a good child psychiatrist locally and I did a lot of research to find someone that I would be comfortable with treating our child. Dr. Shlewiet is one of the few Board Certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists I could find. He was also able to see us within a few weeks. I was told it would take at least 3 months to get in with a Dr. at CHOP. If you need a child psychiatrist we HIGHLY recommend Dr. Shlewiet.

One of the best psychiatrists in the area. We have been seeing Dr. Shlewiet for over 5 years for our son. He is very personable and always available to answer phone calls or questions. Dr. Shlewiet is very organized, he has been using Electronic records since we started to see him. His prescriptions are always printed, very elegant, and professional. He is almost always on time. The most we would wait is 10 minutes. I would highly recommend him to family and friends.

One of the most aweful doctors out there. Does not appear to keep good records, is very lacks in knowledge of billing & Ins regs. He is frequently late and cuts visit time short. He has terrible communication skills, if any, and offers no help. He is inaccurate in the fact that he will write clinical notes months later and post-date, as if they were done the date of visit, which is potentially unethical. Totally contradicts subjective and objective findings. Has no staff and no waiting area, and it is doubtful that he has complete Pt files, records, etc. Would not recommended.
