In my opinion he recommends crowns when they are not needed. I was a patient for over 15 years and I should have refused the numerous crowns. Too much filling on a tooth, that is not having any problems is not enough reason to recommend a crown. I have had to have several replaced. My wife stopping going after one visit because of the extensive work he recommended. Problem is a crown ruins the integrity of the tooth and the margin area where root and crown meet is prone to decay.
