Didn't even get to see the doctor. Drove over an hour with my 7 y/o daughter which I had pulled out of school. When I arrived, there was a sign that said "mask required". Nothing was said before I left home despite communication. I apologized to the staff and asked if they could give me a mask (or sell me one). They told me they would reschedule my appointment. In all seriousness, I said, "You are going to cancel my appointment because I don't have a mask, after I drove an hour to get here and took my daughter out of school...even though you never told me a mask was required?" I'm happy to wear a mask...I typically keep one in my car...but in this instance because no one else was requiring them, and I'd already had both vaccine injections, I had just gotten out of the habit of having a mask with me all the time.

They let me leave and drive all the way home again without my daughter seeing the doctor. I will make another appointment...but it will not be with Dr. Jasper Castillo.

Terrible experience with the office of Dr. Castillo. We were referred here by our pediatrician for our newborn's frenulum correction, she was only a week old when we went in. As it turns out, this office will NOT back-file insurance, like every other doctor's office on the planet does for newborn infants. Back-filing is where you show that they have been added to an insurance plan, then call the office back when the card comes in to give them the plan numbers so they can file at that time. Every other doctor does this, especially anyone that treats infants. The billing lady even went back and personally asked Dr. Castillo if there was anything they could do, and he told her that the frenulum issue "wasn't a big deal, so they can wait until they have her insurance card and come back". So it didn't even matter to him that she was unable to eat, and losing weight at a week old - he cared more about making sure he got his money than the well-being of a newborn baby. Appalling behavior.

Very nice, caring and calm doctor, especially when you're toddler is cranky and not feeling well. He's done surgery on my daughter twice. Once for tubes and once to remove adenoids. Would definitely recommend !
