He is great! One of the best doctors I have ever had and I'm 79.

I agree with all those who said Dr. K has terrible bedside manner. Was abrupt and would bark information at me, cutting me off if i tried to ask questions. (The people who did the breathing tests were much kinder!) I switched over to Dr. Teller, who is easier to deal with and more respectful. He takes the time to answer questions and has a gentler approach.

I was misdiagnosed that I have an allergy by my primary doctor, and suffered horrible coughing for a while. After I had an asthma symptom, I requested to be referred to allergy specialist. The allergy specialist referred me to Dr. Kamelhar. Even though Dr. Kamelhar's schedule was pretty full, they managed to squeeze me into his schedule. I could see Dr. Kamelhar a few hours later after my referral was issued. They took my blood sample, inhaling test, and lung CT. On my second visit, he diagnosed that I am suffering micro-plasma pneumonia and acid reflux . Now I have been taking antibiotics, and already cough much less. I was pretty impressed at Dr. Kamelhar. I think that Dr. Kamelhar is a very skillful doctor with full of knowledge. That is what I need from a doctor.

I agree with others here. Dr. Kamelhar is very abrupt, but he knows his stuff. He diagnosed me correctly with acid reflux after years of being told I had asthma. His staff is horrific, though, particularly Yvonne who has a terrible attitude problem. She is so unprofessional and announces everyone's business so loudly. Wendy the technician is also a moron. Cant even take blood pressure correctly. Recently, Dr. K took on an associate, Eric Teller, who is also a moron and knows nothing. Staff keeps referring me to him for care to lighten Dr. K's load and build a practice for his associate. I find it very frustrating. The wait time is outrageous without question. I agree Dr. K sends you for tests to his cronies that you dont really need which cost a fortune. He kept calling me young lady because he couldnt remember my name. I only go there out of sheer necessity when I get really sick. Otherwise, I avoid going to him like the plague. Stay away if you can.

Dear People, I find it very difficult to understand what you all are talking about. This is an excellent doctor who has never let me down... returns calls and takes care of my whole family, A real human being who goes beyond the mark to ensure that everyone is well... I am really sorry to say that some staff are very abrupt and uncaring... and doctor has to be strict with such behaviour. This doctor knows what he is doing... and we have to understand that this doctor has a huge schedule. He has no time to be pampering patients, his goal to ensure that his patients get ok. I am not sure what some talk about bedside manners... He has been a very caring, curteous doctor... ofcourse we have to understand that he is a busy man... and he cannot be an angel... he is the BEST DOCTOR I HAVE EVEN SEEN... All of you who has given the reviews should give a second look about your ownselves... it may be you are under the weather and this doctor has no time... to ge there ...

I accidentally ran into this site & I should share my feelings. I am a ex-employee of this physician. Dr. Kamelhar is extremely intelligent in his field but a complete idiot when it comes to treating others with respect. I worked with him for 4 months and came home crying on my first day. Needless, to say he terminated me because he did not want to hear me expressive my feelings about the disrespect he showed me and other staff members in front of patients. I could not believe that I left my previous employer to work in an office run by an abusive dictator. He is extremely rude. He always ran on min. of 2 hrs behind schedule. It was a norm for him to squeeze patients into his schedule and then rush through appointments. He never returned patient calls and would lie to patients about never getting their messages (making the staff seem irresponsible, but it was him). He yelled and scolded patients and staff like children. I would NEVER refer anyone to him. Paul the tech is GREAT!

i was nervous to see this doctor after all the other reviews being so negative, but i have to disagree. This dr is brilliant. I rather have a doctor who is not warm and overly nice but brilliant instead of a really nice dr. who knows nothing. yes thhe wait is long because he takes his time with his patients. He has many patients and is getting up there in age, i only waited a week for a call back for lab results and he was very friendly and quite funny. The tech paul that does the pulmonary testing is an absolute sweetheart. My experience here was great. Remember that waiting a long time means he takes his time. sometimes to get good care, you have to be patient.

Never waited less than 3 hours to be seen, wait weeks for call-backs re test results. His manner is abrupt, anxiety-producing, and he does not answer questions or listen to answers to his questions. Mode of operation is to simply refer for more tests - sometimes tests that have already been done. Did not actually propose any actual treatment for me despite months of suffering. I will not be going back to him.
