Dr Busby has treated my husband for bladder cancer. From our very first visit, he made us feel like family. He took the time to listen to our concerns, explain all of our options, and helped guide us to the best outcome. The bladder removal surgery was a success and I am very thankful. I highly recommend him.

I Was recently reffered to Dr.Busby from GHS ER. After my vist I feel compelled to say....He is a very competent and very caring Person. Dr Busby and all of his staff have been very courteous and very professional. Dr. Busby is a very good listener no matter what kinda questions u ask. Trust me between me, my mother, and my wife he was asked many! Dr. Busby answered every single question and was never aggravated by any of them. He said he understands and that it's a good thing to ask questions. He explained all of my Scans, including all of my surgery procedures and options! He was very kind and very caring. When I left Dr. Busby's office today 8/21/2017 I felt better than I have felt in last two weeks. He made me feel assured that everything was gonna be just fine. And that after all this was behind us I would be just fine! Thank you Dr. Busby for going above and beyond in such a busy scedualed office and taking all the time u did today with me. The world needs more doctors just like him in my personal opinion! Thank You!

Being an RN I did a lot of research as to who I wanted to address my rising PSA. I asked my PCP to make the referral to Dr. Busby knowing he worked by referral and I would need to be patient for my appointment. I am so thankful I did. He spent time with my wife and I at our initial encounter discussing options and answering our questions. He recommended having an MRI while explaining the benefits. It showed some areas of suspicion, so a biopsy was indicated and having had the MRI benefited the ultrasound in targeting those areas. Unfortunately the biopsy came back positive for cancer with a Gleason 7 score. My options were a radical prostatectomy or radiation treatment. After traveling to Atlanta to meet with a renowned radiation oncologist and another at Gibbs, I (along with my wife) were comfortable in making a decision to have the prostate removed via the da Vinci robotic surgery performed by Dr. Busby. It has been 9 weeks since the surgery...my first PSA came back .01 ! And although I continue to perform my kegel exercises, my incontinence is hardly a problem - I'm wearing only a light shield and not all the time. Also he was able, in my case, to spare part of one nerve bundle and all of the other so I declined his offer for a Viagra prescription at the first follow up appointment. I realize that statistically speaking I am not the norm and that I am extremely blessed, especially for the results and turning 68 this month. Thank you Dr. Busby for being the instrument in my new lease on life.

Dr Busby and his team and staff at UAB in Birmingham are amazing! He removed my husband's bladder and prostate due to both being cancerous and he was able to remove ALL the cancer and no chemo or radiation was needed. We are so thankful for him and his team and staff who were so attentive to all of our needs and for their caring and loving kindness to my husband and to me during this trying time in our life. I can't say enough good things about Dr Busby. He is an angel to us and everyone at his clinic and at the UAB hospital are amazing people. This is a place full of angelic caring people who are here because they care about their patients. God bless you all.
