I have been to this facility several times. It is always easy to schedule my appointment. I never have very long to wait in the pleasant waiting room. When called back to the preparation area, I have concerned care and my privacy is respected at all times. Procedures are well explained and the time isn't too long. In the procedure room, the staff is gentle and very nice. Dr Sossenheimer always asks me to explain to him why I am there and what we are going to do, so that he can be sure I know and understand the procedure. He has an amazing bedside manner and is very reassuring. In the recovery room, I am tended and cared for and soon find my way to a comfortable place, with my husband, to await the information from the procedure. Dr. Sossenheimer appears in a reasonable time and takes whatever time is necessary to make sure I understand what he found and how we will proceed from that point. He confirms when I need to return and what care I should take in the meantime. The following morning, I receive a call to make sure that I am not having any negative reactions. As a retired teacher who was responsible for assessing workplace situations for my students to earn graduation credits, I could not ask for a more positive environment for learning. I am thankful to all those involved.

I visited Dr Sossenheimer for evaluation of pain in the lower right abdomen. Dr Sossenheimer reviewed my medical history and suggested the problem likely originated in the kidneys. He ordered a ct scan without contrast which confirms stones in the upper lobes of both kidneys.

The experience I had was very good. Dr. Sossenheimer was professional and thorough. I experienced no discomfort and the wait-time was reasonable. He explained the procedure results in a pleasant, straight forward way. The medication he prescribed has worked well.

Endoscopy was followed by colonoscopy. Appreciate the personal attention given by all involved. Especially appreciate Dr. Sossenheimer's good nature and willingness to explain the value and benefits of the procedures and how my personal health will be benefited.

You may have a long wait time in Dr. Sossenheimer's office but that is because he takes all the time that his patients need to address their concerns. He doesn't rush you and genuinely listens to your concerns and also to your feelings which is huge for a doctor. You can tell he thinks about you outside of the office and spends time researching and thinking about how he can help you. He remembers personal details and also remembers what was discussed in your last visit. My dad also sees him and he frequently asks my dad how I'm doing and sends him home with more research he's done for me. When I had a stillborn his nurse called me to give me their condolences before I had even spoken to him about it. I've also on several occasions received personal phone calls from him with test results or to check on me. He's not only concerned about getting my Crohn's in remission but he's very helpful in helping me to figure out how to proceed and get a successful pregnancy. My husband and I both feel like I owe him my life! After dealing with a previous horrible gastro doctor and a horrible ObGYN doctor I've realized even more, how great he is!

Dr. Sossenheimer is a masterful gastro doc. I've been having stomach issues for years and at long last I buckled down and made an appointment. If there is one thing above all others that I like about Dr. Sossenheimer is that he takes the time to listen, his examinations are very thorough and he levels with me like a person. He's quite a gentleman. He has been treating me for many months and I am feeling better than I have in years and the entire staff at Utah Gastro are top notch.

Dr Sossenheimer is the best MD i have ever been to. He takes time to explain everything he is thinking. He takes time to tell you everything that 'might' be going on and which route he will need to take to find out what is going on. He is very caring and has an awesome personality. He makes a doctors visit worth while. I truly believe he actually cares about his patients not just his paycheck.
