My boyfriend & I were working on starting a future together. We had issues that we were working on resolving, so I suggested that he see a professional. After he started seeing Dr. Cohen our relationship started taking a negative turn for the worst. After visits John seemed different & started changing his mind about our future together. Dr. Cohen advised him that we shouldn't be together & that a future/ plans we had made were not smart. Our relationship wasn't perfect, but Dr. Stewart Cohen drove us apart instead of helping us like he was hired to. Please, if you value your relationship, DO NOT see Mr. Cohen.

Dr. Cohen met w/ pre-adolescent child to address anxiety and acting out, defiant behavior. The doctor generally started 10-15 late and ended 10-15 minutes early. The first and only 4 sessions were occupied with assessing my child. This was an inordinate amount of time to conduct a psychological assessment. The doctor was kind and my child enjoyed meeting with him, however, the doctor's reputation as being ineffective was confirmed. There are so few child psychologists in the area and he was "in network." Ended up paying out of pocket for an excellent child psychologist. Sometimes you get what you pay for.

My husband and I went for marriage counseling and he charged us a $20 copay per person. I didn't think that was right so I called United HC. They said that he overcharged us and that it is only ONE $20 copay not matter how many people attend the session. He then sent me to collections for a cancelled appointment even after HE OVERCHARGED ME!!! He is a horrible psychologist too. He just sits there and sips on his drinks and never asks you how you feel or what is bothering you. You leave having to come back and give him more money because he doesn't help you resolve anything. He is not interactive at all and doesn't help you get to the root of any issues. He just likes to take money. And at no time did he tell me when I cancelled that appointment that he was going to be charging me anything. And he certainly didn't say that he was going to send anything to collections! He is also not flexible on appointment times. I do not recommend this psychologist at all.
