I saw Dr. Black for vertigo. He said it would cure itself, if not, come back in 2 weeks. I came back in 2 weeks and he said the same thing. I then went to my GP. He performed a very common maneuver(Epley) that cured me immediately. Black could/should have done this and saved me 2 weeks of suffering.

Dr. Black is very helpful and caring person, he has wonderful bedside manners that many physicians are lacking. I was able easily discuss my cancer treatment and concerns with him. I highly recommend Dr Black to all of my friends and family.

My daughter has used Dr Black for over 5 years and we have been very pleased with him and his staff. Before going to Dr Black we were constantly in the pediatricians office for ear infections which resulted in hearing loss. After the first visit with Dr Black my daughter had tubes put in. We are now on our fourth set of tubes, all by Dr Black and she has 100% hearing. He always takes the time to speak to her as well as me about the treatment he will be doing. Dr Black is the one doctor that my daughter never complains about going to see regardless of the treatment that will be done that day. She and I both think you can't go wrong with Dr Sheldon Black.

I think Dr. Black is a good surgeon with the personality of a good surgeon - which leaves something to be desired regarding his 'bedside manner'. He does seem to be in a hurry. I was glad that he perfomed my surgery AND I was really glad that I had a very good internist to follow up during my stay at the hospital, for pain management, to keep me informed and take care of my condition afterward.

Seems like he'd rather be somewhere else. Make sure you go somehwere else.

I went to Dr. Black on the condition that his offices had a radiofrequency machine, which he told me they had and could use. The first two visits I was made to wait over an hour and a half after my appointment. It's on the record. Several visits later, an unwanted medical procedure, and hundreds of dollars lost on missed work, copays, transportation, and parking, I was told there was no such machine in office. In fact, they had even scheduled me an appointment to perform a surgery using it, and only after coming in and waiting half an hour with procaine packets in my nose did he tell me they goofed. Maybe they could have checked first several months before when I asked them before even coming in. Please do what you can to avoid this doctor.
