Not in the business of healing people. Very cold demeanor and attitude, and repeatedly and coldly told both of my parents that my father did not stand a chance at surviving his cancer. Never spent more than 5 minutes with my father at a time and whenever I would ask him questions he would behave as if I was bothering him and wasting his time. When I told Dr. Maroules of my father's death, I’ll never forget his cold response. “Hmm” was what he said after I had explained that my father deteriorated quickly and died in a hospital ER. Dr. Maroules only asked me if my father’s primary care physician had been informed. No condolences or any words for me. He only signed my father’s death certificate and that was the end of that. If you or a loved one is experiencing cancer, and you have the wherewithal to do research and are actually reading this review, I would implore you to find another doctor, someone with a better bedside manner and more compassion for his patients.

I was seen by Dr. Maroules in the Hospital. He did have medical residents and fellows with him asking me many questions about my symptoms and health history, but it was to be expected because it is a teaching hospital. I found him to be patient and caring with me. He explained to me my disease and what the treatment would be and answered all my questions. He is very approachable and I would recommend him.

Dr. Maroulis is honest and straightforward, yet kind and caring when giving me a diagnosis. He seems to have a tremendous amount of knowledge and is able to simplify it so that I could understand him.I have small veins, yet he took my blood himself and I did not feel a thing..He is prompt and thorough in his explanation when giving me my results.I would recommend this doctor without hesitation..

If you want your dying loved one to be yelled at and harassed, this is the doctor for you. Saw my terminally ill husband in the hospital , harassed him wanting to know why he was admitted while my husband was too sick to respond, Asked inappropriate questions , very unprofessional. Spent less than 5 minutes with the patient and refused to do anything to help him be more comfortable. Residents under him at St Joe's in Paterson lie to you and also treat family members like garbage.Reported this doctor and his 2 residents to patient rep and nursing supervisor. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this poor excuse for a doctor.

The doctor's office was able to squeeze me in the same day due to the severity of my symptoms. Nice facility, friendly staff, very little wait time. I found Dr. Maroules to be very thorough and knowledgeable. I left very confident that the treatment plan we decided on was the best option.
