Dr. Margolies was very rude and dismissive. I could not even complete my sentences without him cutting me off.
The first thing he asked me was what is my highest level of education that I have completed. He was arrogant and uncaring. A huge waste of time and copay. Stay away.

Dr. Margolies is one of the worst Doctors I have ever seen. He is not up to date on his knowledge. When I told him I was seeing a Physical Therapist to help me with balance and numbness he says that won't work. Meanwhile Penn has a whole department attached to neurology dedicated to just this thing. He is rude. Makes me upset to have to even see him. I have decided he isn' t worth the co-pay. I will go some place else.

Dr. Margolies did not seem to care much about my problems. He spent more time explaining how my pain doctor is ripping me off since he [pain doctor] is “lawyer appointed” simply because I explained my medical history which involved a motor vehicle accident. He totally dismissed everything I am experiencing and said that there was no way I am still injured from an auto accident 2 years ago. He looked visibly annoyed [sighing, eye rolling, fidgeting] during the visit and completely wrote me off. he stated he did not want to do any tests since my pain doctor has done them all and my insurance won’t cover them [He never asked what was done, he assumed all tests were]. That is wildly inaccurate, for starters I’ve never had any testing done for the symptoms I presented to Dr. Margolies (who dismissed them). The entire reason I needed to see Dr. Margolies WAS to get testing. I was referred by my pain specialist to obtain an EEG after complaining about disrupted cognitive abilities and other neurological symptoms. The only thing he did was a quick exam where he told me I wasn’t trying hard enough, then he asked me to walk down the hall without my shoes. He questioned why I was walking a “certain” way and implied I was exaggerating my walk. This was my first time seeing this neurologist and perhaps my last time seeing this particular neurologist. Very poor bedside manner.

Not much to say that hasn't been said already. Has gaps in his knowledge. Completely missed a diagnosis that should have been right in his wheelhouse. The doctor I went to afterwards seemed confused at how a neurologist missed the problem.

I left Dr Margolies’ office in tears because he kept interrupting me and disagreeing with my experience. I can understand disagreeing with any conclusions I have drawn, but since he doesn’t live in my body, he has no basis to disagree with my experience. This was traumatizing and humiliating, and I wondered why he was so dismissive and disrespectful. I went to see him to get medication for my pain and left emptyhanded because he wasted my time by not letting me tell him why I was there. He kept latching on to a phrase I would say and then launch into a tirade about why I was wrong. As a result, he didn’t get to hear why I was there. As he was walking out of the office, he said I could call for meds. I will not be calling or going back. This physician needs to be retrained on listening skills, showing empathy, and time management.

This doctor is not only unethical but he clearly HAS MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES. When I told him the terrible headaches and other symptoms I've been experiencing from a 2nd concussion I've sustained in a year's time, he literally laughed at me like a PSYCHOPATH and completely invalidated my pain! He then said that" the brain can take hundreds of concussions without injury". That's exactly what he said. Every doctor I have told that to since (and a physical therapist with a doctorate) said that he doesn't know what he's talking about. He clearly needs to keep up with the latest scientific studies regarding concussions. I left his office crying and traumatized. Although, I instructed him and his office to not contact any of my doctors or anyone else on my behalf, WITHOUT MY CONSENT, he defied me and WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION, he contacted my doctor to discuss my appointment against my wishes! When I found out, I contacted his office manager, made a complaint about him and relayed how he contacted my doctor without my consent, even though I told him in person not to and I told the receptionist not to. Dr. Margolies called me back and claimed that his intent was to help me. I told him that I did not give him consent to contact my doctor or anyone on my behalf. He claimed that he misunderstood me, which is a lie, since as I said, I told him right to his face I did not authorize him to contact anyone on my behalf and since I left a detailed message with the receptionist right after I left his office! I requested that the office manager send me a copy of my file and his notes. I was not surprised at all that he had the audacity to write a report that invalidates all of my pain and undermines the diagnosis of all my other doctors. He also made several factual errors on the report THIS DOCTOR SHOULD HAVE HIS LICENSE TAKEN AWAY! Instead of helping patients, as he's supposed to do, he's misquoting science, traumatizing patients, DEFAMING PATIENTS AND THEIR DOCTORS and PUTTING PATIENTS AT RISK for more health issues, since he invalidates your symptoms, as I and several other reviewers have said. The 5 star reviews are clearly written by him or someone that knows him! It's so obvious. As I said, THIS DOCTOR SHOULD LOSE HIS LICENSE TO PRACTICE MEDICINE!

I'm not sorry but if I could give ZERO stars I would. Most arrogant "doctor" I have ever encountered in my life and has no idea what a brain is supposed to look like. Absolute disgrace. I'm just angry with MYSELF for not telling him off when I had the chance.

This man was one of the rudest most arrogant people I have ever met in my life. Based on other reviews, if you need meds for headaches he is your guy but if you have a serious medical condition do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. He didn't even know some of the basic symptoms of my condition. Any one of us could know more than he does by searching google!!
