I visited the office today. The technician was very helpful and nice (which is the only reason i rated the staff a 3). I cannot say the same thing about Dr. McCoy. I specifically made an appointment to have a cyst aspirated and discussed this with the staff over the phone no less than 3 times as it is painful and I am leaving on vacation next week. After my mammogram, Dr. McCoy came in and said if I wanted the aspiration I would have to make an appointment and come back after vacation. I explained to her that the staff said I could have it done that day. She basically accused me of lying, was unwilling to work me in and basically told me to be grateful I didn't have cancer. In addition, after going through a big hassle to have my records transferred there, they were not in order when I arrived. I will NOT go back and would advise others to go elsewhere.

I am also a medical professional, this woman Dr McCoy has the worst bedside manner, very rude, no compassion ect! She told me when I asked her the original size of lump that "it doesn't matter" she also told me she was diagnosing another pt next door with cancer and that she left in the middle of them to answer my questions. I would have waited. I had only asked the sono tech to speak to her after sono tech could answer none of my questions. Md McCoy entered room with an attitude!! Worst experience ever, left in tears!

Very knowledgeable, up with the latest equipment and treatments. If you need someone to mollycoddle you, you should probably go elsewhere. If you're looking for a professional who knows her stuff and has a knowledgeable staff around her, this is the place for you. The office staff seems a bit disorganized. The doc and her other staff--they're the best.

Dr McCoy saved my live ten years ago by finding the most miniscule lump on the mammogram She immediately referred me to a surgeon and the lump was malignant. The surgeon has relacated to another hospital but I will never leave Dr. McCoy. She is a wonderful doctor and a good friend.

I am 26 yrs old and had a suspicious lump. She was extremely rude and chewed me out for asking if I could have a biopsy...she told me to "stop playing the what if game, and just do what I tell you to do." She prefered that we "just watch it" and come in every 6 months for a sonogram. I switched to the Baylor Women's Center in downtown Dallas where the radiologist was the polar opposite of this ridiculous woman. The Baylor radiologist referred me to a surgeon as soon as I asked about having it removed. Dr. McCoy recently told a friend of mine that she is a radiologist "for the money." I guess that's why she wanted me to continue to have sonograms of my lump and refused to refer me to a surgeon? I would never go back to her.

After being told to come in for a follow up mammogram because of suspicious results on the first routine one, I spent two hours undressed waiting to be seen. After enduring the technician mistaking me for another patient and planning to take "routine follow up shots for the biopsy you had six months ago" and then when I said that I had not had a biopsy for ten years, sending me back to the waiting room because she "had someone else to do" a different technician finally did the mammogram. Then Dr. McCoy, the head of the center, entered the room with an attitude, announced that I had to have a biopsy with little explanation and left the room angry when I didn't immediately agree. I will never go back.
