It's been a few years, but it was an unusual visit. I was hospitalized for a pain condition, exhausted and not a happy camper.
The Doc came in and told me his name... I thought he was joking, Stress! After my less than polite remarks, I finally realized his name really was Dr. Stress
We talked for a while, explained how this pain is effecting my life. He was straight up told me it was going to be a huge challenge. It's not the answer I wanted to hear, but he told me the truth.
I'm not sure about the negative reviews I've read here. The truth hurts or sucks at times, but accepting it allows you to begin to deal with it.
I highly doubt he takes kick-backs or falsifies reports. There appears to be a lot of displaced anger and transference in the comments.
My experience was positive, I accepted his observations, didn't like some of them, but it provided opportunities for me.

A stunning example of the Dunning-Kruger effect at work.

In his report, this stain on the medical community stated that I had low to average IQ. Apparently he was able to determine this from speaking to me for approximately 20 minutes despite never conducting an actual IQ test. The funniest part of this story is that I’m a Mensa member. Ok, Brian. I notice he keeps scrubbing his negative reviews also. You can’t run from the truth!

What a blight on the profession of mental health care this Guy is . He is unethical
and can be swayed in custody cases by flattery and the promise of cold hard cash. I have a recording of him literally answering the question. How do I get someone declared incompetent. He never missed a beat. Explained the process. Never said he may not find them incompetent . Just told the PRICE and process.

Dr. Stress admits he spent only 30 seconds with me, yet says I suffer from Schizoaffective Bipolar Disorder. He said the the judge I am probably getting senile just because of my age (74).

This specialist recorded inaccurate information in my medical chart . He also gave me a written quiz to form a diagnosis when I was under the influence of heavy dosing of Phenobarbital for seizures. He was inattentive during our interview and reported incorrect facts.
